In the intimate Riffort Village in Otrobanda you’ll find among others the familiarity of Douwe Egberts Café.
You visit the café for coffees in the most varied forms, fresh sandwiches, crispy salads, thirst-quenching smoothies and of course the famous homemade apple-pie. Additionally they are opend on Thursday-, Friday- and Saturday night. There will be live music and as long as the band is playing, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere on the square in the Rif Fort with a glass of wine, beer or a cocktail and appetizers. Taste the tropical ambience that goes hand in hand with a familiar touch.

Since this place is just walking distance from the Renaissance Hotel… it was another breakfast option for my cousin and me…

We went early enough… perhaps September is quiet and or no cruise ship but it was a nice quiet breakfast. We sat far enough from a couple smoking.

I had a latte and an omelet. Our server asked me if I wanted a piece of white or brown bread and I was like "um… brown is wheat right?" He nodded and smiled. I opted for white not knowing how they make their wheat bread…

Upon arrival… I was greatly surprised to see my omelet inside the white bread… thus making it a sandwich for us Americans… My cousin and I had a good chuckle behind it. Price was decent but coffee eh… Van Gogh still wins.

We went there for breakfast, it's a place well located at the ancient Fortresses with a good and variety menu, the baguettes are awesome very crunch, omelets also delicious, and the coffees are grinding at time order. The croissants are fresh and crunchy too. Served with jam and Dutch butter. I recommend.

Best service on the island. The food is paninis so it is what it is. I really enjoyed my pizza panini, my friend’s breakfast burrito was not very good. It’s a great stop over spot for a quick lunch with great staff.

Blended drinks are the highlight of this spot with a variety of fruit flavors and frozen coffee drinks...

You can enjoy your drink and listen to live music as this location is right next to the open music stage in the fort...

Very friendly, we stopped by to rest and have a drink after walking around. A little busy so it took a few minutes for them to take our order, but the drinks came out rather quickly and we’re delicious!! We ordered a cinnamon sunset, cold coffee, mango smoothie, strawberry smoothie and pina colada smoothie. Very delicious!! Would recommend for a quick drink and rest stop!
