Jan Thiel Beach

2 stars for the location. Very expensive for what you get. Service slow, understanding and service. We both order the focaccia with herb butter. You get one dish with two pieces of bread that doesn't look like focaccia with a thimbleful of herb butter. We also didn't realize it was our starter. Anyway, the main course was bland and very limited for what it cost. Ask for a salt shaker and you won't get it until you're almost done. No, there are better places to eat that are cheaper and better.

Alot of amenities clear clean water

If you like luxury and convenience, this is a beach where you can enjoy yourself for hours. Lots of choice in restaurants where you can enjoy delicious food. You can reserve a bed and be served there. Music everywhere and in the evening you can continue and enjoy the nightlife.
There are also many activities to do here.

If you really want to enjoy what Curaçao has to offer and are not necessarily looking for luxury, I would look at one of the many other beaches in Curaçao.
The further you go towards the western tip, the less touristy the beaches become.

I thought it was a nice beach, nice view, nicely modern, but I prefer natural and a little less tourism.

Ive been coming here since I was five years old, when it was mangroves, cliffs, and only two old buildings. I always come at least weekly with my parents and their grandkids, about forty years of generations visiting this beach. So that tells you how much we like coming here.

However, today is the first day I simply had to leave within minutes of arriving, because one of the bars around (couldnt tell if it was mojitos or papagayo) started playing loud club music, audible all the way in the parking lot! At 5 in the afternoon on a thursday IN FULL DAYLIGHT! The beach was full of kids and I was with my elderly mother, who got a headache from the thumping music.

We usually stay so she can calmly see the beautiful sunset, but with the loud music we could barely talk to each other, so we left.

I love dancing to club music in a club.
However, by a tranquil sea with serene views during the day is the last place that should be played. The water emptied of people within minutes, while it was completely full before! I dont know who the genius was that thought that loud club music in the day on a family beach would be a good idea, but it would get a negative star review if I could give one. If this happens again I will definitely be complaining directly to the location management.

Theres a time and place for everything, even loud club music. And Jan Thiel beach in tje day is NOT it. One star for today.

Lovely beach

Wonderful beach with party atmosphere, drinks and cheap food. You pay for entry and parking but you can stay until nightfall. There is a nightclub that I didn't manage to be in but it looked full.
