Lounge on a beach bed under a palm tree and enjoy the beautiful open bay, which has excellent diving and snorkeling. Jan Thiel Beach is located in a new upscale residential area east of town. With a full service dive operation and children-friendly semi-enclosed wading area resembling a swimming pool and a small waterpark. Jan Thiel is a real family beach. There’s also a restaurant that serves sandwiches, snacks, and drinks on the beach.

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

As far as snorkeling goes there is not much coral/life. Some spots of coral with fish, was able to find 2 turtles and a ray. The beach and water is picturesque here (yes it’s truly that blue!) but I think there are many beaches on Curacao that offer more as far as sea life/live corals and still have beautiful sand and water.

As a hotspot for touring boats, it's advisable to make a judicious choice and conduct thorough research beforehand. Opting for smaller boats may lead to a less enjoyable experience due to the risk of motion sickness.

Despite these considerations, the overall recommendation stands strong. The unparalleled beauty of this tiny island, with its serene ambiance and distinctive features, makes it a must-visit destination. Just be sure to plan wisely to make the most of your experience.

Awesome beach. We took a catamaran tour out there and got to swim for a few hours. Simply gorgeous and amazing views.

The scuba dives are not as good as Curaçao. Beach is very nice. Takes about an hour and a half to get to Klein Curaçao.

Super white, fine sand. You only get to the island by boot e.g Blue Finn, Irie or private Beach House Mermaid. It took us 2h. Snorkeling was boring as without corals you see only view fish or turtles.
