BijBlauw is een betoverend culinair juweeltje genesteld in de levendige wijk Pietermaai van Willemstad, Curaçao.
Dit restaurant aan zee biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de Caribische Zee, waardoor het een idyllische plek is voor een romantisch diner of een ontspannen ontbijt aan het water.
De ambiance is zowel chique als ontspannen, met een gedeeltelijk open keuken waardoor gasten de bekwame koks aan het werk kunnen zien.
Het menu is een heerlijke samensmelting van lokale en internationale smaken, met opvallende gerechten als truffelrisotto, gesmoorde oesterbiefstuk en de unieke “funky funchi” – een hartige maïsmeelpuree met Parmezaan en een gepocheerd ei.
Of je nu geniet van een maaltijd aan de Chef’s Table met aangepaste wijnarrangementen of van een ochtendcroissant met een zeebriesje, BijBlauw belooft een gedenkwaardige eetervaring die perfect past bij het prachtige kustlandschap.

This is just about the restaurant.The setting and food are excellent. It's a fine place to eat or drink overlooking the ocean and watch the sun set.I especially enjoyed the minty melon starter. The cauliflower and the Sea Bass were good (though some of it was oversalted).

We came here 2 times now and the service was horrific at the restaurant. It took 20 minutes just to order a water and coffee, 15 minutes to get the drinks, and another 45 to receive our food. The second time we got up and left after our coffee due to not even ordering our food for over 30 minutes. Good food, but if you want to spend 2 hours at breakfast, this is the place to come.

At BijBlauw restaurant the atomosphere inside is nice; the outside near the ocean is wonderful. They sell Smaak bags for less you can pay for them in Amsterdam. I've come to the restaurant during the heat of the day to escape the oppressive heat. I enjoyed smoothies although they didn't have a wow factor, they were good. The carrot cake was dry and tasted healthy; not moist and lacking cream cheese frosting. I guess it was better for me that way. I'd return again because I like the ocean side ambiance so much. I didn't order food based on negative reviews complaining about price and quality.

For our first night in Curaçao before starting to live in our new apartment, we stayed in the rooftop room (14) Bij Blauw. Your experience starts after making the booking when receiving a very nice confirmation email. Also shortly before you arrive another confirmation. The staff at the reception but also in the beach side restaurant are amazingly friendly and welcoming.You can enjoy in room 14 also a very spacious balcony overlooking the sea. At the moment construction works are taking place next doors where a new building is in process. But this did not cause inconvenience to us.In the past visits already enjoyed having drinks and dinner at the beachside restaurant which I can truly recommend.

I absolutely loved my stay here from beginning to end. Food, views, room, and service were beyond exceptional. BijBlauw is walking distance to all the major attractions. Looking forward to returning soon!

The food is beautiful and quite good, but they do too much with it and crank up the price because it’s > now.I would definitely go for the seaside view, but order the less complex dishes. :)

Everyone is so sweet here. The aesthetic is beautiful. It is a very welcoming atmosphere that suits the waterside vibes. We ate at the restaurant almost every morning for breakfast. And a couple of times for dinner. Breakfast service can be a little slow but they really do their best! Great staff and great food. Coffee is amazing👏🏼

We made a reservation for 12:30pm for lunch several weeks in advance, but upon arrival were told there was no lunch available after being seated (told due to Carnival).We were offered drinks, but left due to this being for a lunch reservation. We ended up down at De Heeran at Sea which was a much nicer vibe, comfortable and great views/service/food close by.
