Green View At Blue Bay Curacao

Lovely location and beautifully appointed. Our hosts are terrific.

We rented the Penthouse during the Curacao lockdown.The beach access remained open for tourists (not for permanent residents). Green View is both close and far from the beach. Close because the beach is within walking distance if you like to walk up and down a steep hill via the shortcut. Far enough away to justify renting a car to bring our beach gear.The Penthouse is very well made. No bad surprises for the facilities except for the lack of a personal washing machine. A washing machine is available in an apartment located on a lower floor.The service was very good and available during our stay, despite the difficulties of moving due to the lockdown.A few tips to provide a perfect service. When we arrived on a Sunday after 20:00, everything was closed or at least not accessible in our conditions, that is to say without a rental car because of the lockdown. We would have liked to have the minimum to survive one day like for example salt, a little oil, ... The kitchen was almost empty compared to the apartments of the Village Blue Bay. At least it was clean.Green View could invest in clothes racks (dryer) and wooden pegs and also in barbecue maintenance equipment. Maybe previous dishonest customers left with the missing equipment. That was my feeling.Advantage of Green View's location is that it is always windy, which reduces the presence of mosquitoes, which are abundant in the Village.At the time of our stay, new buildings were under construction. The project was already well underway. Expect noise pollution during the day for some time to come.Otherwise it was great to have Blue Bay all to ourselves during the lockdown. Almost no occupancy.

The view is nice altough not very good wifi,where i was there was only 1 bed one in the kitchen and a good sofa with a smart tv

We are just finishing up our two week stay and are sad to leave but definitely intend to come back for a longer stay. We are in a one bedroom, very spacious unit that has a lovely sectional that pulls out to a queen. Nancy is extremely responsive to each and every need. My daughters came to visit so I informed Nancy and extra towels were provided and extra passes to Blue Bay Beach! We loved the pool but then we're also able to take advantage of the beach with the passes, which saved $8 US each visit. Check in was simple, unit was well stocked and if you need toilet tissue, trash bags, hair dryer you just need to ask. Yeatsa (not sure of spelling) replenishes the towels and cleans the units is lovely and again very accommodating. My husband loved the golf course.

This was the second time I rented with Green View and we had high hopes given our first experience. This time it was well below what we expected: - they use kind of a realtor lockbox on the door - only ours had the wrong key in it - so we had to wait quite a bit before we could enter our apartment (just what you want to do when traveling with little kids) - the door to the master bedroom did not close - took days to fix - the door to the second bathroom did not close unless you really locked it - the dish-washing machine did not work - only got resolved 7 days into our stay (this was just bad management as there is no way it worked for the previous guests) - the air-conditioning in the second guest room was not working well causing the floor to flood in the morning and consequently two of the family members tripped on the stone floors (this was not resolved during our stay) - the sliding doors to the terrace get stuck quite often and it takes some strength to open them - given the price per night you would at least expect some of the basic necessities to be provided - (paper towels in the kitchen, dish-washing detergent etc) The location is very centrally located - beautiful area - but there is a chance that depending on the wind you will smell the refinery. Obviously, we were pleased the first time we stayed here, but given the issues we encountered the second time and the lack of response from the management in providing some discount and/or timely addressing the issues we encountered I would not recommend it.
