The food here was actually very good especially the leeks. Those were the best variation of leeks I have ever had. The tuna dish was very good as well as the pâté, the sea bass tasted a bit rancid but nonetheless, the food was good. The wait time between the courses could be cut down. It’s just too long between courses. Perhaps it’s me. I didn’t realize the dinner had multiple courses until I sat down. Curacao seems service slow in general so this wasn’t the determining factor for my review.Anyhow, my major gripe is service. This really did it for me. I came here tonight (2.6 on Tuesday from roughly 5pm to 7:30 pm) to one half of the worst service I have experienced. I basically rang myself up, gave myself a receipt, and had to give a death stare for my dessert. I didn’t sign the bill because I had no pen. I even asked the server, a black woman with dreads and a gray dress to enter a tip, but when she told me to close myself out I lowered the tip amount. I guess they don’t care about tips over here. I should have given nothing. I took my dessert to go and it was delivered by an unknown man. When he became confused on who to give it to, the same server was literally staring at me. Just give me the styrofoam container. What exactly is the issue? Why not just bring it over and give it to me since you know where to deliver it instead of having this man scan the entire restaurant. I’m not sure what the issue is in this country but customer service goes a long way. In the US, low reviews literally tanks your business. If I wanted to ring myself up, I could have gone to a carry out service. And to think I was contemplating a private chef service from the head chef here. No damn way! They might have me in the kitchen prepping. And maybe use candles to get rid of the pesky mosquitoes.**In response to management, I’m quite sure one would leave 5 stars if they weren’t fiddling with handheld POS systems and entering tips on behalf of staff. I really hope this review is considered constructive so that you train staff to treat guests the same, with no partiality to race, color, gender, etc. Thanks!
