The Captain Bar

Worst food and service we had. 2 hours to get drinks, a burger and wings. Wings were supposed to be hot and we're just breaded wings. Burger was flavorless and the bread just fell apart so I had to eat it with a fork. Fries were tasty but that's it. Pina colada tastes like the can the pineapple juice came out of. So did the Captains punch.Server was nice enough but was just never around. Cigar smoke coming from inside plus chain smokers outside we're just gross. All in was about $90. 4 drinks, two burgers and wings. Beyond a ripoff considering other places around.

My family and I were blown away about everything at this establishment! We are from the US and were seeking a dining experience that was different from our norma, and we got just that. We were immediately greeted by our server, Stephanie, and she was amazing the entire time. She was friendly, personable, proficient and gave us the most awesome welcoming feeling. Our food was just as amazing as it was advertised. I had the Caribbean Sea bass that was cooked to perfection, and my wife had the chicken pita that she expressed was delicious. Our kids had the nachos and of course the chicken nuggets lol, but both were nonetheless very satisfied. If you like calamari, then you must try it here. I have always enjoyed calamari, but the calamari served here was the best I’ve ever eaten! It was a beer-battered, which I had never experienced, and cooked to the perfect temperature. Many places tend to over cook it and it becomes a bit rubbery. But not at The Captain! You will definitely get the European/Caribbean fusion here, and will not be disappointed.

My family and I went here for my Birthday. The food was amazing, but the service was even better. I would have to say this is the best service I've ever had. everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made time to chat, and made sure you enjoyed yourself. They overall were wonderful. Thank you Captain!

Located near the Ferry boat to Otrobanda and the bridge Queen Emma, this peculiar restaurant takes you to a Journey at the pirates ☠️ time, where the statue of the famous Capitan Morgan watches you and wishes ya a good meal. The plates ate made by the Cheff who is used to the Caribbean food and drinks, a special dishe called Gambas with fries or rice was very delicious with an welcome entry by Fried Calamaris and the home bread. Place has a good view to the bay, which maybe in the 1600's could be used by the pirates ships to port for supplies. I recommend.

Service really does make a place good or bad. The Captain has amazing service and everyone makes you feel welcome and wanted. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, and the calamari was perfectly cooked. I was recommended the flan along with my cappuccino and it was pleasing. Rich and decadent with a firm texture. Also, sitting outside at dusk turning to evening enhanced the experience ten fold with the gorgeous view outside.Overall, everything was outstanding and excellent. If you're in the area, give this place a go and be happy with your choice; I am!

Enjoyable. I tried one cocktail--Kadusi and 3 snacks--banana soup, shrimp salad & chicken salad. They were all good.Have to send my apology to the owner as I followed the cruise excursion and Google triggered me to pick up the wrong restaurant name to provide my comments. Hopefully, I would have a chance to come back and appreciate the good food/drinks at the Captain!
