If you're seeking a serene and relaxing dining experience for lunch or dinner, this is the perfect spot. Known as one of the best seafood restaurants, we enjoyed the fish dish and soup, both of which were excellent. Additionally, the gentleman who served us was exceptionally attentive and friendly.

Van Rook gets our approval.FINALLY!!! A good fish restaurant that isn't a local joint. For those who desire a fine dinning experience with real fresh and imported fish.Please don't think that because you are Curacao that every restaurant is fresh fish.Most are not.By most most I mean almost all buy frozen.This was a conundrum for me when I first arrived here.There are no real fishermen here, just a few. Locals prefer meat over fish.For me service must be spot on. I use to work in the restaurant industry. Most places you will find that service is terrible. That is due in part to the poor pay they receive here as a server.Van Rooi's server was excellent. Big thumbs up.Please remember to tip. If not for the large sign in front of the restaurant, you would easily drive by this hidden gem. Entering the place you are greated by smiling staff. It's a small restaurant so seating is a bit limited. Tip: make a reservation to avoid dissapointment. The menu looked good. The wait time was a bit longer, maybe due to the full house. I guarrantee you the wait is worth it. The portions are just enough to not overeat and it was quite tasty. We ordered for entree salad mix with shrimp, salmon & king fish. For main dish we had whole red snapper with oyster and tomato sauce, fillet red snapper with tomato sauce and lobster tail with oyster sauce. For sides there was white rice, french fries, fried funchi and baked potato with fish dip. Drinks we usually order a coke, water, apple juice or lemonade.
