Our guide, a fabulous taxi driver named Ralph, was born and raised on the island, and his deep-rooted connection to Curacao made the tour truly special.

We visited the Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the oldest surviving synagogue in the Americas. Did a 7 hour tour of Curaçao, all guided by Ralph. Talk about going the extra mile…I lost my much needed sun protection hat in the wind at one of the beautiful beaches we stopped at. It blew off the edge of a cliff and got caught on rocks below. Ralph insisted on climbing over to retrieve it for me! There’s no way I would have attempted it. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ralph on my trip to Curacao. I booked him for a round trip transport and he was always communicative, on time and pleasant to converse with!! I asked him how the weather was for the week when I first arrived and during my trip, he sent me a weather advisory video to keep me updated on a possible incoming storm (which thankfully did not occur)This reflected consideration and thought! He picked us up on time and at the end even went over the 6 hours.
His car was very comfortable and clean.
His recommendation for lunch was great and the view was amazing.

Ralph made himself available after my original tour cancelled, and I’m so glad it did! Ralph is knowledgeable, personable and passionate about sharing the history of Curaçao. We did a Jewish Curaçao tour which was exceptional. And I’ll just add that he had a beautiful, air-conditioned car which we quite enjoyed. Ralph was so helpful, storing and removing my Mom’s wheelchair from his trunk. I really can’t say anything negative. It was a joy to be with him.i thought his fee was quite reasonable and with every penny. Here’s a pic of Ralph holding my mother up so she could see the Jewish cemetery for herself.

My mom and I had an amazing day in Curaçao with Ralph as our guide! My mom uses a wheelchair that was stored carefully in the trunk and Ralph was very conscientious about making sure mom had good views of sites when she chose to stay in the car and he was wonderful with helping her throughout our tour at the sites where she did get out to get an up close view of things. We got to visit all the places on our “must see” list as well as a few hidden gems of the island that most non-locals don’t get to see. We’ve been to Curaçao many times and thought we had seen it all — we learned we didn’t even scratch the surface with those other visits. Some practical notes: Ralph is an excellent guide, he’s a great communicator - all through the booking and meeting up process, and during and after the tour, his taxi is super clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning in the taxi cooled us down after each stop under the warm Curaçao sun. I strongly recommend booking this private tour. I know we will book again the next time we are in Curaçao.
