Hotel property has the most perfectly maintained common areas and beautiful beaches. Rooms are nice, but it’s the property itself that will keep you dreaming of returning to Curaçao. The two beaches have sandy bottoms that gradually get deeper. No currents and or waves. Snorkeling is amazing with both beaches offering diverse aquatic life in crystal clear waters. Restaurants are decent at Avila but just outside the property are some great places to eat. Exceptional service by the staff from hotel lobby to bars and housekeeping. It’s not if we go back but when!

This place was perfect for a relaxing girls trip. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite in the newly renovated building of the hotel. We were able to walk right out our sliding doors to the beach. Service was good. Beach was calm and water clear and warm. Pool was perfect temp. One of the restaurants was still undergoing renovations. The beds also weren’t the best quality. Not exactly luxury linens. The hotel was walking distance to a small square with excellent restaurants for dinner. Any farther of a walk into town was a bit sketchy but doable.

Did a day pass here on a cruise, awesome spot. They limit the number of passes so it doesn’t feel crowded at all. Easy to find seats with shade, and great protected beaches and pools.

Great location! Beautiful and relaxing private beaches, cozy rooms and a short walk to great restaurants and downtown. The food was good at Pen’s, and the staff was very friendly. A few complaints – there’s a lack of beach-side service, poor service at the bars, and some of the junior service staff didn’t seem to take their jobs seriously.

Stayed at Avila this past May. It was our 1st time on Curacao and so happy we chose Avila. We stayed in the Blues Wing Section. The room was clean, nicely appointed, with a private balcony. One of their private beach coves was just steps from our door. I loved the private beach cove as we didn’t have to worry about waves or rough water. There were many different little fish we saw when snorkeling by the rocks. We tried all the restaurants on site, and all were good. The proximity of the hotel was also good as there were quite a few restaurants within a short walking distance. Also we took advantage of the shuttle bus that goes to downtown several times a day. Everyone who works there were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The resort has a very peaceful and laid-back vibe, which was exactly what we were looking for. We had an amazing stay and we would come back again.

Very nice hotel. Within walking distance of several great restaurants and downtown. Room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Easy parking. The private beach area was fantastic! Food and drinks were pricey but great location and atmosphere. Next time will definitely check out live music over the water on Thursdays.

Great place to stay if you want a relaxing time. The private beach was absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly and kind at all times. The area is safe, well lit, and the food was good as well. Spent my 40th there and this is the first trip I’ve been on in a while where I wanted to stay longer. Also if you’re thinking of going rent a car to visit other beaches and areas. So much to see and do.

I hesitate to post a review of our time because I’d like to keep this beautiful placd a secret – but if you find yourself in Curaçao for a day (a cruise stop like us maybe) reserve a spot for you and your party to come and hang out here for as long as you can! The day pass offered by the hotel is perfect. The resort is quiet and the grounds are beautiful – the water is crystal clear. We had a great and relaxing time.

Just stayed a week with our family of 4 including our 10 and 12 year old. We were extremely happy with our stay. Room was adequate for us and large balcony facing the ocean was enjoyed. Housekeeping was great. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel, but enjoyed the beach & snorkeling on our arrival day & the afternoon one day after exploring the city. Kids enjoyed the pool every evening. We had dinner there twice, once at each restaurant- BBQ night was excellent & our meal at Blues was great too. We had breakfast there twice and everyone was satisfied with the selection! Location couldn’t have been better- short walk and/ or drive to great dinner spots and to town. We rented a car from the Budget on site out of convenience as prices were the same as other places. While our daughter affectionately called the car “hunky junky”, it suited our needs to beach hop. We’ll definitely be back!

Great hotel centrally located to towns center. Rental car from Just Drive – hotel has tons of free parking. Clean rooms and staff always available. We got half board which is breakfast (buffet allYou can eat with mimosas), and dinner. SmallMenu at the Pen but food was great. Wait staff for breakfast were very friendly with smiles daily. They remember you and greet you as such. Dinner staff wasn’t so friendly but the views make up for it.

Great location in proximity to restaurants, wonderful staff, amazing service for dining/housekeeping! We stayed in the blue swing room for our honeymoon, HIGHLY recommend as you can see fish swimming from the balcony. Their breakfast buffet is perfect to start the day also. Having a well equipped gym is a plus too 🙂

The moment we entered the Avila entrance, we instantly felt welcomed. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, especially Valerie who was attending to all of our needs. Aside from the hospitality, the location of Avila is PRIME. There are two beaches behind the hotel, a beach bar, and two restaurants on hotel premises. Highly recommend going to Blues at the hotel – the Stoba was our favorite. Overall, the surrounding area has numerous local restaurants that have delicious food and you are a ten minute walk from the downtown area. We felt safe, comfortable, and truly felt like we were in paradise. Highly recommend the Avila!

Love this place! Beach front room. Leaving the hustle and Americanization of Aruba, this was a welcome calm. Check in was very professional, greeted with a fresh glass of fruit juice. Rooms are nice, Private beach with Cabana’s. Close to downtown. Beautiful beaches and sites around this hidden gem called Curacao.

We had an excellent time at Avila Beach Hotel for our six days in Curacao!The staff was very friendly and always happy to help, the Octagon Standard room was comfortable and clean. The beaches are wonderful, with clear, calm water, and very cool snorkeling beyond the rocks. We also enjoyed all of the drinks and snacks at Schooner Bar, and we appreciated the hotel’s location, as it was a short walk to Willemstad’s center, and there were several amazing restaurants nearby as well.We will definitely be back to Avila Beach Hotel when we visit again!

Clean, professional and pleasant gym. I worked at The Challenge during my internship.I learned a lot about sports, health, management and Curaçao itself during my time there.My co-workers were very helpful and helped me when needed. It was a nice experience to work in a team with different nationalities and lots of locals. The locals also helped me a lot to learn more about the island.I would recommend this gym to everyone, I am definitely coming back in the future!

It was the first time I went on vacation and I remained consistent with my work outs and all because of the Challenge and the team! The opening hours work amazing the equipment is adequate and up to date and the atmosphere is more than welcoming. Good Technogym equipment. Small clean gym. All you need for a quick vacation workout. We were with 3 friends, buying a day pass. Watch out! It’s not a day pass. Bad experiencie regarding the so-called “day pass”. at the end of my first session it became clear that it’s actually not a pass for the day, but for one entry only. The lady behind the counter was apologetic about this confusion and mentioned to me that in the 3 years she has been working there, she has been selling this as a day pass. And that no other client ever was confused about this. (So basically implying the confusion was at my end).I asked for a deal, an exception to the rule, since we were with 3, and I was the only one who wanted to return later that day. But she said that she couldn’t make an exception.Back home I checked and the website clearly mentions “session” so if only they stop selling it as a day pass, no confusion will occur again.
