Visit us at the beautiful Kokomo Beach at Vaersenbaai!
In 1993 we started diving at Curacao. First relaxed with the Open water course, followed by Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster/Supervisor . Then we did a lot of dives, just for ourselves. Not only at Curacao but on a variety of locations like: Holland, Maldives, Eritrea, Spain, France, U.S and all the Caribbean Islands. In 2004 I became PDIC instructor but was not affiliated with any diving school. Trained several people, diving from the Trunk of my car. From 2004 I also started mapping diving sites. The available information was out of date, incorrect or even not available. In 2005 I became Intsructor trainer (Alex in 2010) and then we specialized even more. We became instructor in all the common specialties and also some technical ones like UCSI, Archaeological dicing and Port security. We wrote several books about these subjects with the emphasis on Curacao. Since 2005 we are the Archaeological diving team for diving on the SS Mediator and the Alphen (both located in the Anna bay in Curacao). In 2007 we got a location at Landhuis Daniel. Here we specialized in guided dives and continued mapping the diving sites. In 2008 we published the first edition of the Curacao diving guide with site descriptions of all shore diving sites of the island. The guide had his follow up in 2011 with a second edition, this time with all sites (100) of Curacao. This guide is sold at all bookstores on the Island and also in a specialized diving center in Holland (Lazywave, Rotterdam). In 2010 we also created a diving magazine (harcopy) in Dutch and made an information website about diving on curacao. www.curacaoduikmagazine.com. In 2011 we moved from Daniel to Vaersenbaai/Kokomo beach. Offcourse we took our experience with us. We are not pretending to be the best but we tend to dive different. Our personal attention is famous and so are our courses (especially the rescue course with its deep and night rescue). Although the term Trunkdivers might have a negative sound we kept the name because we donāt want to be another diving factory. We are still more diver than business man and we hope that our enthusiasm for diving is visible to everybody who dives with us.
