Altijd In De Buurt Willemstad

Wow what a great little spot. We went in late on a Tuesday when just about everything was closed in Willemstad. They were just getting started at altijd in de buurt. We came in to get some takeout to bring back to the hotel, and it was so nice we just stayed and dined in. So relaxing and casual. Fantastic service from the super nice lady working this evening Feb 7, 9PM. Meal was ready in under 10 minutes and it was delicious. Highly recommend eating here but their bar area and side patios are also dope. This would be a great spot to chill with friends and drink the night away. Bonus: their bathrooms were spotless.

Ordered from them on Saturday night and was looking forward to the food because, on paper, they have a very unique and interesting menu. So, I like the concept a lot. However, something was definitely off with their Buurtsalon. The food wasn’t burnt, but still had a burnt taste to it. From my experience in restaurants, I believe this is the result of old fryer oil or an oven unit that needs to be cleaned. I would check with the cook that was working that night. The server was delightful though.

100 % recommended. As they don't have a lot of vegan options on their menu we asked them to veganize the burrito for us and had the sweet potato fries without the cheesy cream.

We had the most fun here at Altijd in de Buurt out of all restaurants we visited for dinner!Vibes, check, food , check, drinks, check, music, check!I very much enjoyed the vibes and music!I ended up ordering this delicious drink "mango melanin" 3 times, it was so so good (I like sweet fruity drinks)!Rianne was our waitress and she is the one who put me on the mango melanin, she provided us with great service!I ordered the boa down with tempura mushroom as a substitute for the chicken, as I am a vegetarian.Accidentally the kitchen ended up serving me chicken anyway and I ended up taking a bite of it.I brought it up with Rianne and she apologized and returned with the correct dish after the kitchen remade it for me.Rianne gave us a discount because of the kitchen error, which I found very honest and kind of her.I also had the vega loaded sweet potato fries, which were very filling and yummy.My hubby had the Saturday BBQ Ribs and he enjoyed them.

food is incredible, very nic chicken and waffles, only wish there was some sort of sauce to go with it. options with eating in or taking out and since the food is already in a box if you are not finished you can easily bring it back home. fantastic 👍
