We were happy with the week we spent here. It's a colorful place with quirky furnishings [see photos of the lights and seats]. The rooms are nicely air conditioned, which with the oppressively hot climate is very welcome.A QR code is sent to you before you arrive andĀ  is used to enter both the front gate and one's room. A pin code is an easier alternative that they offer. Two coffee pods, two bottles of water and two Coke Zero cans are provided. They sell more as well as cold beer, etc. They provide large beach towels- we were on the plane when we got a message telling us this and so uselessly brought our own. They will clean the room every other day but you can opt out (as we did). The staff at the reception area are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location in Punda within easy walking distance of the Queen Emma Bridge to the Otrobanda area. The Tourist Office is very close and can provide information. There are lots of eating and drinking establishments nearby. Part of the information the hotel sends you is a list of 11 recommended places. We ate at several of them and they were good. For breakfast (and lunch) our favorite was Van Gogh which is very close to the hotel.Right next door to the hotel is the Cuban restaurant and bar Mundo Bizarre. Their food and drinks are good and so is most of the Cuban music. However be aware that both the patrons and the music is very loud and goes on well past midnight. It's especially loud when they have live music (every Thursday and at least when we were there Friday and Saturday). If you don't want to stay up late and noise bothers you bring ear plugs- using them I had no trouble sleeping.Tip:If you want to be environmental and save money, you can take the bus to the airport instead of an expensive taxi. The Punda Bus Station is just 250 meters away. The buses run about every hour. For example there are buses at 9:30 and 10:30.The fare is just 2 Florins. You pay the driver when you enter. Have small denominations. They will change a 5 coin but a 25 note is too big.You want the 2A or 2B but ask around as the bus didn't have its sign on when we went. The buses aren't air conditioned but all the windows are open and with the bus moving its fine. When we took it, the bus had few passengers. You can also catch a small bus to the aquarium from there.
My husband and I stayed at the Wynwood Suites in September 2023. We stayed for three nights at the beginning of the week and and for one additional night before leaving the island. We had a mixed experience and arenā€™t sure we would go back. Below, youā€™ll find our list of advantages/disadvantages of staying at this hotel.Advantages:1. Ā  Ā Excellent location, situated right in the heart of Willemstad.2. Ā  Ā Great use of technology, utilizing QR codes for room access and late-night entry to the hotel.3. Ā  Ā Affordable cost for a hotel room.4. Ā  Ā Colorful courtyard patio and pool.5. Ā  Ā Complimentary soft drinks and water upon arrival (in each roomā€™s refrigerator).Disadvantages:1. Ā  Ā The second room which we arrived to around 8pm, was poorly cleaned, specifically the toilet, which was disgusting and not cleaned between guestsā€™ stays, with red residue on the toilet seat and wall. Staff werenā€™t available to clean the room even though we called the after-hours number, which they didnā€™t pick up or respond to text messages through WhatsApp.2. Ā  Ā Rooms lacked adequate soundproofing.3. Ā  Ā The first room we stayed in had significant paint peeling on the walls and paint dust. We were told this is standard for hotels in Willemstad; however, the second room we stayed in at the hotel had only minor paint peeling and no paint dust.4. Ā  Ā No complimentary breakfast.5. Ā  Ā Street parking can be limited.6. Ā  Ā Not close to the beach.7. Ā  Ā Limited staff availability, only present at the hotel from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Wynwoof Boutique Hotel is located within an easy walk of many restaurants, cafes and shopping. A bar next door had awesome Latin music on Thursday night. I stayed in two different rooms. I prefer the upper 2nd floor facing the back of the building rather than the ground level. Two complimentary bottles of water and two sodas in the fridge, two coffee pods, and silverware in the room. Nice small courtyard to enjoy the sound of the pool. Entry to property and room in via an app on your phone hotel staff sends you. Staff was friendly and helpful. From the airport it was easy to take the bus to Punda for $2.00 USD. When exiting airport go to your right to the blue sign with a large letter "B." Schedule depends on the day. Google "CuraƧao airport bus schedule" for up to date information. A taxi charges $37-40 for a 20 minute ride to downtown. Taking the bus to Punda brings you within a block of the hotel.
Such a great boutique hotel close to many restaurants, and bars. It's an easy walk to Punda. It's around the corner from the busses and also a few blocks from Plaza Biew. The rooms are so cute and functional. The rainfall shower and curaloe products were a plus. Aircon is very cold and the complimentary water and coca cola & coffee is a nice touch.I also loved the keyless entry, as they use a QR code to access everything. Really cute patio in the back for Instagramable photos. They messaged on WhatsApp multiple times to check in to make sure everything was good. Great service. I would stay again!
Hotel is ideally located for exploring Wiliemstad and is in the trendy Pietermai district with all the bars and restaurants. The city center is a ten minute walk and restaurants are in the neighborhood. The hotel is a mix of old architecture andmodern technology. We stayed in the 1 bedroom. It was fully equipped with all the essentials. Thespace was clean and roomy. Staff were helpful and pleasant.Would definitely stay again.
The Wynwood Hotel boasts an unbeatable location, allowing you to explore most places on foot, making it convenient even if you don't have a car! Within a short walk, you'll find numerous bars and restaurants, and the attentive staff provided fantastic recommendations to enhance my experience. One standout feature was the use of QR codes for accessing the hotel grounds and your roomā€”this innovation was a game-changer for me as I often misplace my room key! Having it on my phone made everything so straightforward. Additionally, ordering wine and beer via the QR code, whether in the room or by the pool, added to the convenience. The rooms are elegantly decorated and equipped with all necessities for a delightful stay, including US, European, and USB chargersā€”an excellent touch! I look forward to returning; thank you for such an exceptional experience!
This hotel boasts an excellent location near restaurants and popular attractions. The room is tastefully decorated and equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, fridge, tv, WiFi and consistent hot water in the shower. While the swimming area is small, its charm adds to the overall appeal. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful, offering plenty of useful information and tips with excellent communication throughout my stay. I highly recommend The Wynwood!

Our stay at the Wynwood Boutique hotel was fantastic! It was for the last couple of days of our stay in CuraƧao, so that we could have a better taste of the capital city! Super convenient location, the hotel buildings were super visually appealing and the room had a unique charm. Paired with super service from the staff, especially Lisa, who was able to get us into our room early, show us around, and was available whenever we had questions! The Wynwood brings a modern vibe to a very classic building. We will definitely stay here next time we visit CuraƧao!
