Not a Luxury Experience – Overpriced and DisappointingDon’t let this hotel ruin your Curaçao trip. The property advertises itself as a luxury resort, but it fails to live up to that promise in almost every aspect. For the price they charge (around $500 per night per two ppl), you would expect a high-end experience, but the reality is far from it. This hotel should realistically be priced between $200-$300 at most. Here’s why:The Good:- The spacious nice rooms are comfortable, and the bed is great.- The bartender was the highlight of our stay, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. The Bad:- False Luxury Advertising: Despite marketing itself as a luxury resort, this hotel is anything but. The overall experience, service, and amenities are nowhere near the standard you’d expect at this price point. It feels more like a mid-range hotel trying to charge luxury prices.- Limited Dining Options: Only one restaurant is open at any given time, with a very limited and unimpressive menu. The food quality is disappointing and does not match the hotel's advertised luxury status.- Closed Beach Access: The private beach is under renovation and closed to guests—a major disappointment that was not communicated to us prior to arrival. Instead, you’re directed to use Dreams Beach, where you could stay for significantly less. For a place that markets itself on beach access, this is unacceptable and misleading.- Adults-Only Misrepresentation: Although advertised as an adults-only property, we encountered children swimming in the pool, further detracting from the supposedly upscale, serene atmosphere.Service Shortcomings:- Upon check-in, we had to carry our luggage ourselves, including down stairs—a basic service failure for a hotel claiming to be luxury.- Our breakfast, ordered the night before for 7:30 am, did not arrive. After calling to the front desk, we were left waiting over an hour with no resolution, forcing us to walk to the breakfast area ourselves.Dining Experience:- The service is disorganized, and the staff often seem uninterested and unwelcoming. You are left to seat yourself, with little acknowledgment from the staff, who often appear to have an attitude!- The food and beverages are of poor quality, comparable to an airport hotel cafeteria, far below the standards expected of a luxury resort. The coffee is particularly bad, and by the third day, I chose to skip breakfast entirely.Overall, this hotel does not deliver on its promises and is not worth the cost. If you’re expecting a true luxury experience, you will be disappointed. Save your money and choose a property that genuinely reflects the beauty and hospitality of Curaçao.
Truly had such an amazing experience at Zoetry. Cannot recommend this place enough! The resort is clean and well maintained. The food is great, and the drinks are excellent. But what tops it all are the employees; they are exceptional! From the concierge and front desk associates, bartenders, servers, and housekeeping, they were all so attentive, kind, and welcoming. Zoetry has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. We are so thankful we chose Zoetry as our resort and are especially thankful for all of the staff members who made our stay outstanding.
We had a great experience at the Zoetry resort! We had to deside between here and Dreams and are so happy we picked this one. It’s much quiet and adult friendly. Dreams has more kids and family. The food and service was great as well.
The hotel facilities are excellent, but the best thing is the staff. Latoya, Beverly, Samona, Jessica, Gisell and the rest of the staff make the stay an unforgettable experience. They provide a highly personalised service, adapting to the individual needs and preferences of each guest. They are friendly and empathetic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at home. They maintain a high level of professionalism and present themselves impeccably, reflecting the elegant and exclusive image of the hotel. Last but not least, guests should not have to specifically ask for coffee refills, they should be anticipated....
I have to to regurgitate what the other negative reviewers have said. The staff is very nice but that’s where service ends. There is no service. Ordered room service for dinner at 7:00PM and it didn’t arrive until 11:30! If you want breakfast in your room make sure you give it at least two to three hours. There are only two restaurants but only one of them is open during the day. Not only that, the second one is only open on certainly days of the week!! The food is like something you would get from the pre prepared section of your local market and microwaved. Each person’s meal is brought out one at a time 15-30 minutes apart so don’t plan on eating together. It’s so bad it’s really hard to believe! Plan on dinner taking at minimum 2.5 hours…and nothing is hot. DEFINITELY bring your own liquor because there are NEVER any bartenders working. Any positive reviews can’t possibly be authentic. Everything I just described did not not happen once but EVERY SINGLE DAY
We chose Zoetry for a lot of reasons and were not disappointed! We started getting a little anxious closer to the trip after reading some reviews so this review will also debunk a few of those! To preface: we came in the off season (end of April) so it was not very busy and the beaches over at the sister resort, dreams were nearly empty! You have full access to both resorts and all the restaurants and amenities which is great if you're staying for more than 3 days and don't want to eat at the same place.Food: I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of food- there is something for everyone! The steak the two days I had it was cooked exceptionally well, everything is well seasoned and portions are perfect. Desserts are also lovely. 24 hour room service was so fun because I've always wanted to live out my dream of ordering a 2am pizza and it was everything I could want and moreDrinks: 5 stars- heavy pours, happy bartenders, A+The Room: We booked garden view and it was great. lovely little balcony and they did provide bug spray which was helpful because they cannot control actual nature. That being said- were there ants in the room? Yes. Was it an infestation? Hardly. Your booking a room on a tropical island. Where there is food there are going to be bugs. These ants are literally smaller than the tip of a pen and stayed mainly on one of the counters. I don't know if any resort on this island won't have this issue, since its, again, a tropical island. Did not in one bit impact my stay. The bathroom did have a hint of a sewage/public restroom smell that was unpleasant, but not overpowering or distracting or lingered into the main room. You shouldn't be spending more than 5 minutes on the toilet anyways- it's bad for your pelvic floor.Shower: if i could pack this shower in my suitcase I would- it was the most luxurious shower I've ever had. Rainfall shower head with amazing water pressure and hot water that lasted! The staff: So caring! It was almost Disney world level of care and kindness. They truly wanted to make sure you were enjoying your stay. Remember kindness is a currency. You are privileged enough to be on an all inclusive vacation, don't be a jerk if one small thing doesn't go your way. They are VERY accommodating and willing to help.Beds and linens were changed daily and always clean. Great to come back to after a full day in the sun.overall, this place will be our new safe escape when we want to get away!
I cannot say enough about this place. After visiting the previous year, I chose this resort as a venue for my wedding and as a place to stay for my guests. I worked closely with resort staff for over a year to plan my wedding. They were so helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make my guest comfortable and create the most beautiful wedding. The food was great, the accommodations were wonderful, but the service was better. In my opinion, this is the best place to stay in Curacao.
We got put up here after our JetBlue flight was cancelled. The reviews didn't inspire confidence but my partner and I had a thoroughly great experience. We're not all-inclusive-resort people, but for one night we loved not having to think about anything. The lobby bar's bartender was terrific. Food came slowly but who cares, where did we have to be? The pool was great the next day and the daytime poolside bar had the loveliest bartender as well.
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It is billed as a 5 star hotel, but I assure you it is far from that. We got what I thought was a good rate on the room, and I was skeptical that the reviews were accurate. Based on the photos etc it couldn't be that bad. It was.The entire resort stunk of garbage, including the room. The food, when it came, would take literal hours to be prepared and was usually not what you ordered and/or sub-par microwaved food. This is not a beach front hotel. Guests must traipse across a dilapidated parking lot filled with sketchy people to get to a "private beach" with makeshift, half constructed cabanas.Every single day there were multiple arguments occurring in the lobby between guests and management. The staff do not care, which I surmise is a product of an underlying attitude at the resort. When we asked for towels at the pool they would not appear, at the earliest, until the next day.Bottom line you could not pay me to return to this trash hotel. We are very experienced travelers who were looking for an island vacation not too far from the States. You are strongly advised to stay away from this dump.
