The village’s unique appeal lies in its commitment to preserving its authentic character. Tourists flock here to enjoy the serene environment and stunning landscapes, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.

Respect the Local Traditions

Lagun’s bay has long been a hub for local activities. Every day, fishermen set out to sea, and for many, fishing is their primary source of income. Fresh fish can be purchased directly from these fishermen at very reasonable prices. Visitors are encouraged to interact with this tradition respectfully, as it is an integral part of the local culture.

It is always a pleasure to visit Bahia Apartements & Diving. The Staff is wonderful. They always do their best so you can have a great stay. The place and the beach are unique. I will recomend this place if you are uncertain where to send your holyday.
Really good apartment in the best conceivable location for snorkeling direct from your lodging. Two good restaurants on site and across the street. Service was lacking because they kept forgetting to bring enough towels for our group, and staff were not able to provide them when asked (twice). This was an office error. The staff were great. The whole situation is wonderful.
My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful week at Bahia. We had a one bedroom on the second floor with a nice big balcony. The view was stunning. Bathroom was nice, stocked kitchen and cute dining area. Comfortable beds. The restaurant was yummy though we only ate there once, opting to make our meals.

Everyone is so nice there and it’s a quiet place. You can hear the waves from the Lagun below. Great snorkeling. Doesn’t matter that it is up North, as there are great snorkel spots there like Playa Kalki, Knip, and turtles at Playa Grandi. Porto Mari is only 20 minutes.

We went South to Tugboat and visited Jan Thiel and Willemstad in the evening before heading home to Bahia at Playa Lagun. The night before we left, we did a night snorkel there which is possible because they keep lights on the beach. Very safe area. Miss it already.
Amazing place, visiting for the 2nd time. Super friendly and helpful staff members. If it's your first time diving or you are looking to overcome some dive related fears, or do courses - this is the place to go.
We’ve been diving with Bahia for the past week. My husband and I have over 1,000 dives each and we both worked at a dive shop for several years. I say that for context only because I have to say this is one of the safest, friendliest and most professional shops I’ve ever had the pleasure of diving with!

Definitely not a “churn and burn” dive mill, like I’ve seen other places, it’s a smaller operation and they spend one on one time with everyone.

They took us around for some great dives,
pointed us to some beautiful reefs to dive on our own, the staff were super helpful, extremely friendly and their equipment was very well maintained.

We were diving with our teenage sons as well, had an amazing vacation and we definitely will be back to dive with Bahia again!
Our family stayed in the 3 bedroom unit. The unit was clean and the location was perfect. Access to the dive shop was fantastic and the diving off the beach was great. We only ate at the restaurant once as we were trying to keep the costs down - enjoyed it. There is only A/C in the bedrooms and they do charge for the electricity. We would turn them on a few minutes before bed and it would cool down the rooms quickly.
My experience at Bahia Diving and Apartments was good. The location is perfect, nestled in a beautiful bay that offers a serene atmosphere and breathtaking views. The apartments, while basic, are comfortable and clean, providing all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

The staff is friendly. The food served at the bar/restaurant is delicious and varied, catering to different tastes and preferences. Plus, the panoramic views from the dining area make every meal a memorable experience.

One of the highlights of our trip was the on-site diving school. We had the pleasure of having Riana as our guide for our first dive, and she made us feel at ease and ensured that our dive was an unforgettable adventure.

The best part about Bahia Diving and Apartments is that it's tucked away from the crowds and mass tourism, offering a relaxed and tranquil environment. The overall atmosphere is lovely, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough for anyone looking for a fantastic diving experience and a cozy place to stay.

1 star deduction because we kept having problems with the in-room safe, which disrupted our schedule one day, but it was solved adequatly eventually. Also, after a day at Willemstad, we came back to find our room was not locked after the cleaning staff did their thing. One more bummer was the fact that we were told on scene that we could dive whenever we felt like it again, but that didn't turn put to be the case, because all of a sudden it was fully booked.

Dinner tip: next to Bahia is a restaurant called Discover Lagun. Best meals & cocktails in town.
