What is the PADI Advanced Open Water Course?

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course is designed for certified Open Water Divers who wish to expand their skills and knowledge. This course involves five different Adventure Dives, each aimed at enhancing specific diving capabilities. Two dives are mandatory: the Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive. Additionally, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive is highly recommended. The remaining two dives can be chosen based on your interests and guidance from our experienced PADI instructors.

Mandatory Adventure Dives

1. Deep Dive: This dive takes you deeper into the ocean, allowing you to explore depths up to 30 meters (100 feet). It’s an exhilarating experience that teaches you about the physiological effects and challenges of deeper diving.
2. Underwater Navigation Dive: This dive hones your underwater navigation skills using a compass and natural navigation techniques. It’s crucial for building confidence and safety underwater.

Recommended Adventure Dive

• Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive: Improve your buoyancy control, making your dives more efficient and enjoyable. This dive is highly beneficial for all divers.

Choose Your Own Adventure Dives

Apart from the mandatory and recommended dives, you can select two additional Adventure Dives. Options include Night Dive, Wreck Dive, Drift Dive, Fish Identification Dive, and many more. Your instructor will help you choose the best dives that match your interests and goals.

Course Details and Schedule

The theoretical part of the course can be completed in advance through PADI’s E-learning platform, allowing you to focus on the practical aspects once you arrive. The practical dives are scheduled to start every Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. Upon making a reservation, you’ll plan your first day of dives, with the second day scheduled in consultation with your instructor.
