Experience the Magic of a Sunset Sailing Trip in Curaçao

I booked a last minute trip to Curacao, which also meant I booked some last minute excursions. I did some research for some trips to Klein Curacao and came across BlueFinn. I thought the catamaran would be a fun experience and there were time slots open the night before for the sunset cruise.
I was hoping to do the early morning but if I had to book again I would stick to the sunset cruise. They were extremely responsive. I messaged them early in the morning the day of our excursion on Whatsapp to ask for a pick up (since I booked so late) and they were able to accommodate us easily, which we were grateful for. They picked us up from Sandals on the catamaran itself. We were able to store our belongings and right away a crew member offered us drinks, gave us his recommendation for the best seats on the boat, and offered to take photos before other guests arrived (shout out to Diego!). Once we picked up other guests and were on our way to Klein curacao, they started playing music and offerings drinks to everyone. People were able to hang out on the netting of the catamaran and sun bathe on the side. Once we arrived to the island we were able to take the dinghy to the island or swim to shore. They offered us snorkels to borrow and pointed out areas to see fish or coral. Once the guests were out and about on the island swimming or exploring, the crew members start cooking lunch right away. We had a nice bbq lunch with quite an elaborate spread of different meats, vegetables, pasta and quinoa salad. The peanut sauce they used to season the meat was amazing! Drink service was available throughout the whole trip. We were also given pineapples and chips as snacks in between the proper lunch service. Since we were picked up/dropped off at Sandals and not the main meetup point at Jan Thiel, on the return journey the captain let us choose if we would like to be dropped off first or second. Naturally we chose to be dropped off second so we could enjoy more of the sunset and we were also lucky enough to watch a spectacular moon rise during our extra time on the boat. At the end, Diego even gave us recommendations for beautiful beaches to check out while we were visiting. All in all, BlueFinn's customer service is top notch and all of it's crew members are amazingly hospitable and professional.

Coming to Curaçao and not visiting Klein Curaçao is like missing the cherry on top of the cake. It's true that there are different options to get there, but the Blue Finn catamaran will give you everything you need to make that visit to Klein Curaçao a unique experience. To begin with, the crew is friendly and fun, and they offer an open bar from the moment you get on board until you return. For lunch, they offer BBQ with various salads. Additionally, they provide refreshing fruits like watermelon or pineapple, and some chips on the way back. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people. Oh, and we can't forget the music that invites us to share a joyful atmosphere. All of this is included in one price.

Great day trip! This was something we both really liked forward to. It did not disappoint!! The staff was so attentive and kind. I feel like everyone had a really great time. The food was good and the drinks were amazing. I felt safe the entire time. They will bring your stuff over to the island on a dingy and you can swim or the will bring you to. And they'll bring it all back at the end. We left around 8:30am. Lunch was at 12:30 (and that's when they start the booze) and then they pack everyone up around 3:30. We were back around 5. Long day. So bring sunscreen and a hat. I would tell anyone to do this when they come to visit curacao. The catamaran is so much fun.

Awesome time going to Klein!! Just to set expectations - could take up to 2h15 to get to Klein (we had super windy wavy day). If you don’t want to get splashed - recommend sitting in the back two rows of tables.

Anyways - crew was awesome!! Kept it super fun all day and even joined in our dance party. Food was awesome - bbq ribs chicken and steak + some veggie sides. Open bar was lit!!!!

Highly recommend blue Finn. If you’re trying to choose between the operators, blue Finn boat a little slower … but the food / drinks / vibes better. They don’t have their own house on the island (but who cares) and they have their own reserved palapa so we had plenty of shade

My group did a 12 person private charter to Klein and it was amazing. The lunch was one of the best I’ve ever had on one of these excursions. The bar was very well stocked. The crew was so fun and very helpful. I would do another trip with them in a heartbeat.

I went on a trip to Klein Curaçao together with a small group of family/friends and we had such an amazing time! I mean Klein Curaçao is absolutely stunning so it’s hard not too, but Blue Finn definitely played a big role in that!

The crew was very friendly and helpful if needed. There was more than enough space on board, and the nets in the front were amazing! And so nice to chill out on on the way back from Klein to mainland. On the way there it can get a little bumpy so if you don’t want to get wet I recommend sitting more in the back of the boat.

BBQ Lunch was provided and it was delicious! We had pasta, salad and as I don’t eat meat they grilled fish for me which was so good! I was really happy that they give you the option to let them know what you can/can’t eat. So even if you eat plant based or something, don’t worry there will be enough food for you too!

Some tips if you are visiting Klein Curaçao:

- bring lots of sunscreen & a cap/hat. It gets so hot and when you are out there it’s just so easy to get sunburned, even if you are someone who doesn’t burn so easily!

- If you get seasick, take dramamine! You never know how bumpy it can get, and it still take a little while to get out there so you better be safe then sorry!

We would 100% go to Klein Curaçao with Blue Finn Charters again! 🩵

We took a catamaran to Klein Curacao on 2/1. Weather perfect. The staff was top notch. The experience was breathtaking. The lunch was absolutely delicious - chicken, steak, ribs, and 3 amazing side dishes. Don't hesitate to sit on the netting, snorkel, explore the lighthouse and shipwreck. Most of all take in the peacefulness. If you can't swim, they have a little boat that gets you from the catamaran to the shore. I'd recommend using their service to get you to their dock. We drove from the Marriott Beach Resort which was solid 30 minutes and you need GPS.
Well worth the price.
Bring lots of sunblock. There is limited shade (some on boat and under huts on the island).
People drank at the open bar but nothing annoyingly excessive.
