The Search For The Hidden Island

Tucked away in the old saltpanes there is treasure to be found. A small island, smack in the middle of the water. Lush with different plants and inhabited by “WaraWara” birds, the largest predatory birds of Curacao. The object of this tour is to find this hidden island. To find it, we’ll have to paddle downwind on the ocean and cross over into the salt planes. In the middle of this nature reserve, you’ll find a mini-island which nobody ever sees. This tour also is for the more advanced paddlers. The island is only reachable when there is hardly any wind or by the more advanced paddlers. After touring the hidden island, we’ll continue our ocean route en finish at Seaquarium beach.

We went for the SUP tour at the mangroves. It was a nice trip, the lengt was enough to get a bit tired and see the place but wasn't too hard for beginners. Also, we had lot's of fun with the group. I would recommend!

Stand Up Paddleboarding with Windsurf Curaçao is enjoyable for the entire family. Renata is so much fun. The mangroves are so pretty and the SUP route is a combination of slower to get used to the board, and then a very invigorating, fun trip back to the beach. I highly recommend this experience.

We (2 people) took the 10am SUP beachhopper tour and it was amazing. Definitely not for beginners, but our guide was A++. The wind and waves were unexpectedly strong today but he coached and guided all the way. Don't forget your SPF. We saw flying fish, sea turtles along the way. We speak English and had no problems. They accept all major credit cards. Do not pass this up, you will not regret it!
