Every Thursday, we invite you to savor the flavors of Curacao with our delicious chicken and beef Stoba (casserole). This traditional dish, accompanied by white rice, plantains, and a variety of fresh salads, is a feast for the senses. We also serve Pika, a spicy local condiment, and a traditional Curacao dessert to complete your meal.

The evening’s ambiance is elevated by the vibrant rhythms of the All Stars percussion band. This group of 25 talented young individuals from Lagun, Knip, Soto, and Tera Cora, under the passionate direction of Dertje, will leave you spellbound. What started as a casual gathering has blossomed into a professional ensemble performing at major events, including the Carnival procession.

A Culinary Delight with BBQ and Music

The following Thursday is all about the BBQ, masterfully prepared by our chief cook, Michel. Michel’s BBQ includes a variety of meats and fish, with Dradu being a special highlight. This delectable fish is prepared with a unique twist that you won’t find anywhere else. Accompanying the main dishes are freshly made potato salad, French bread with garlic butter, an array of sauces, and the delightful Bahia sorbet for dessert.

Music for this evening is provided by the enchanting Trio Ekis, whose melodious tunes and heartfelt songs will deepen your love for Curacao. This trio’s performance adds a romantic and soulful touch to your dining experience.

A Unique Sight – Swimming Horses

As you enjoy your meal, be on the lookout for a unique and enchanting sight. Our neighbor Chababa, from near the church of Lagun, often walks his two horses to the beach for a swim. This serene and picturesque scene of horses bathing in the bay is a rare and special treat, adding to the charm of your evening.

To ensure we provide the best experience for our guests, we request that you make a reservation in advance. We use only the freshest ingredients, and our Stobas, in particular, require careful preparation. Lagoon Ocean Resort can comfortably accommodate up to 45 guests, so it’s essential to know how many people to expect.
