The beach isn't the best, water is relatively normal, there are some huge platforms/ships that ruin the view and there isn't much free space in the sand but it's worth it for the snorkeling. There are lots of fishes and a shipwreck under the water. Probably the best in Curaçao to snorkel. Not reachable comfortably by the bus, 25 minutes by foot from Caracasbai
Neat little shack on the beach. Great place for scuba diving and snorkelling. I rented the water scooter and they gave me the beach chair for free. Staff are super friendly and the prices are excellent. Only 20 minutes from downtown. Highly recommended.
Make sure to check out the pictures and reviews here to know where to snorkel. When we arrived, we just swam towards the group of people to see the tugboat. Turns out, we missed a lot of other underwater sights. Overall, cool experience.
Came here on a tour with All Boat Charters on a big yacht and they took us snorkeling. Incredible area to snorkel or dive, pretty cool to see a little shipwreck and still be that shallow. Lots of coral and rainbow tropical fishies. Beautiful area!
Fun beach! Super friendly owner - who immediately greeted when we arrived and showed us the way around the spot. Snorkeling here was awesome. Tons of fish to see and a sunken tugboat. Very small beach - limited seating but we were able to snag 2 lounge chairs in the shade for $12. Bar was limited in drinks - but service was great. Very rocky beach - would definitely recommend bringing a pair of water shoes. All sorts of diving and snorkeling equipment was available to rent - we rented one set of goggles/snorkel/fins for $30. The drive out here was a little rough - I mean, our rental Kia Picanto made it, but be advised it’s gonna be bumpy. There was a large industrial ship or rig right next to the lounge area - a little loud, but it was cool to see. Not the spot if you’re looking for a quiet serine day at a sandy blue beach- but if snorkeling is your vibe then this is a must see. All in all, well worth the visit! We had a memorable time.
Such a cool, tucked away little spot. An amazing snorkeling site! Great bar and dive shop set up too. This is a must see in Curaçao.
Eady trip from willemstad/otrobanda (40 USD taxi each way if you don't have a car). What a unique curacao experience - bring your own snorkels or rent at the spot. There's no currents and the sunken tugboat is not nearly as far as you'd expect. It looks rocky on the beach but it's actually very easy to get into the water so don't worry too much of you don't have water shoes. They also have lockers, water, drinks, beach chairs, and more at reasonable prices. No wifi there which is fantastic. And just jaw dropping to be snorkeling beside that massive vessel (whatever it is). You'll see some regenerating coral and the most incredible colorful fish. Before our snorkeling we did a quick 20 min hike to the top of the mountain and it was absolutely worth it for the view of the entire island. It's not tough but definitely go in something better than flipflops - regular running shoes are fine. 10/10 would recommend tugboat beach.
