I booked the hotel for a friend of mine...and when the person arrived at the front desk the desk officer made my friend feel unconfortable with the check in procedure asking questions that does not concern the hotel. My friend did not check in anymore and left.
The location is great, not far from the airport or the city and just a few steps away from the beach and the Brass Boear CuraƧao Restaurant, both amazing! For the price, this hotel offers everything you need, and some more. The service is top. For instance, they don't have elevator, but the staff will go above and beyond to spoil you and make sure you don't have to worry about it. I liked the decoration a lot, they have good taste. I stayed in a standard room and it was big, quiet and clean. Also, it was very easy to communicate with them via email or/and whatsapp. Overall, I highly recommend it!
Amazing spot! We stayed for 1 week from California and couldn't have picked a better spot. Nestled back in a gated community, this hotel feels incredibly safe. I shared a pic of their gym because it had more equipment than I was expecting! The staff are all super nice and friendly. The beach is a 2 minute walk and since it's a gated community and others must pay for beach access (free if staying with the hotel), it's incredibly clean and actually was the prettiest beach on the island in our opinion. The room was a lovely blend of modern and rustic, cleaned daily. They provided nice quality soaps and lotions, so could have left those toiletries back home. If from the US, you'll want to bring an outlet adapter. They were nice enough to lend us one. Also can exchange your beach towels daily. We personally loved that we were away from the loud party scene (Mambo beach or Willamstad), but close enough to drive 15 or so minutes.Aside from the hotel, we learned last minute that we would need to rent a car since taxis aren't super prevalent on Curacao. Driving around was easier than expected.
If you want to relax, this is the place. There is no type of entertainment but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outlets are different and the adapter they gave me did not hold my phone charger in place. That was my biggest frustration. The food was meh, the drinks were great. Overall, it was a good stay.I suggest renting a car if you want to explore the island...it's a gated community and the hotel is a distance to the exit/entrance.
We stayed at Bayside Boutique for 6 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The staff is very friendly and kind, happy to accommodate and provide Curacao recommendations. Breakfast is delicious and continental is included (get the croissant, they warm them up they are so good). We never did lunch there and only did 1 dinner there, but I loved the local stew and my husband loved his red snapper. Rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean. The bed and pillows were comfy and the sheets were perfectly white (I get a little grossed out when hotel sheets have any stains) Great shower pressure and hot water, and the towels arenā€™t too starchy. You get a shared porch with Adirondack chairs so you get outdoor access in the rooms. Cleaning staff is thorough and comes every day. Pool is really pretty but a little deep (Iā€™m 5 foot 6 and couldnā€™t stand easily). The beach is about a 2 minute walk away and is really lovely with a ton of amenities such as restaurants, restrooms and showers. The beach chairs that were included were pretty basic and I found them a bit uncomfortable for relaxing so we upgraded a few times to the beach club next door with soft padded chairs for $25 usd each. I recommend doing that. The hotel is in a good location, 15 mins to the airport, 20 minutes to Willemstad, and 45 minutes to the famous Westpunt beaches (donā€™t miss Klein Knip!). You should rent a car if you plan to stay here in order to see the island in its fullest. Parking is included here and we found it to be free nearly everywhere on the island, including in Willemstad. Like most places in Curacao, the staffā€™s English is great and they are happy to accommodate credit cards or USD. One caveat to the hotel, If you have any sort of physical requirements where you cannot handle a lot of stairs, I would stay somewhere else like the Marriott or Radisson in Willemstad that have elevators. There are about 20 stairs just to get to the main lobby, and we were on the 2nd floor which is another 18 stairs or so. Good exercise for us, but it wouldnā€™t work out if you have any disability. Thank you Bayside Boutique, we would love to come back!!!
Blue Bay is a gated community that some might find a bit strange (I did), but there's a nice beach with good snorkeling, and Bayside was the nicest of the four hotels I stayed in while visiting CuraƧao.
Great location! Amazing beach. Very clean hotel grounds, very cozy, nice design and decorations, pleasant to be around. The bed was comfy, the room well designed, very clean and well appointed, great bathroom, lovely balcony. Great staff. Will stay again!
We got a great deal on this hotel from a third party site, and loved our stay there to add some luxury and relaxation after a week of diving on the island. I was hesitant because I donā€™t normally stay at resorts let alone golf clubs, but the hotel was right by the beach and they really provided an intimate boutique feel. The reef is great for snorkeling, and although we didnā€™t end up diving, the prices at the dive shop next door were better than most places on the island. A surprise storm hit the island while we were there, and we were grateful that the hotel had a generator and never lost power, unlike other places nearby. The only thing to note is that outlets are European unlike the rest of the island. But the front desk had lots of converters so this wasnā€™t a problem either. We felt like the hotel owners had thought of everything. Great luxury without being pretentious. Restaurant was fine too, despite mixed reviews.
