Great hotel just 5 minutes walk from Mambo Beach. They even offer day passes at Madero Beach Club with beach towels included, and the rooms are equipped with all the amenities you need. The suites are newly renovated, extra large, and feature 5-star amenities, including a kitchenette and a lounge sofa area for relaxation. We were fortunate to get a ground-floor unit with direct access to the pool, which made us feel like we were in paradise. They offer two complimentary drinks upon arrival, and Juny and Stalin took amazing care of us. We requested outlet converters, and they were already waiting for us in the room when we arrived. The hotel is excellent at communicating with guests prior to arrival and provides concierge-level services, from restaurant recommendations to arranging our taxi back to the airport. We canā€™t wait to return to their beautiful grounds and stunning Curacaoā€”a great spot for families and couples alike. They even have a restaurant on-site for breakfast and lunch, and if you arrive late at night, you can take a short walk to the nearby beach restaurants.
The apartment was clean and big, overlooking the pool. Two big bedrooms, living room and kitchen, with great terrace. The staff was friendly. Each day you can take new beach towel, clean one. On our last day we could use the showers and stored our suitcases safely at the hotel. The location is amazing, 200m from the beach.
This place gives you chance holiday in a construction 🚧 you are going to wake up in the morning with noise. On the other side, you will not get a sleep coz place that you sleep is not clean. You have also chance to swim with cockroach 🪳🪳 in swimming pool. Before booking think twice, you will not get your money back. Kind a tourist trap. Stay away from there.
Very pleased with the stay. Modern rooms, pleasant and helpful staff. Several quiet pools, and a little kid/library area. They have agreements for free beach access in two resorts across the street (one still charges $12 for a beach chair). Front desk is open about 7-7:00, so typically no issue exchanging beach towels. Room towels had to be sent up, and after an hour it some maintenance people walked right in and delivered them. Room AC was easy to control, and we loved that they both give you drying racks for swimsuits, and have an on-site laundry for a couple dollars. Restaurant is also quite good for breakfast and lunch.Only real negative was the construction both in common areas (e.g. stairwell lights) and across the street at another hotel. Can't be helped.Overall, think very nice, modern 3-star experience.
It is a very well-equipped hotel (or rather apartments), close to the beach and with excellent access for people with mobility problems. Rooms and access throughout all areas are well adapted for wheelchairs. The cons: the housekeeping service is not so good, there is no gym at the hotel and they only sells an expensive pass to a gym in Mambo Beach (Blue Maxx Gym). In the rest of the hotels in mambo beach, the pass is free but here you have to pay and it is not cheap (I expressed this concern but the manager did not respond). There are no activities for children.Mambo beach is very good (a little noisy because of the music) and has free sunbeds at the Madero club (most are uncomfortable and some are broken). Overall, the staff at the front desk were very friendly
This place has so much potential.. unfortunately our stay here was a lowlight of our vacation.Starting from the good things: the location of the hotel is great!! The rooms are sizable, fit our family of 4 comfortably. The pool and the cafe on sites were both great. They provide beach tickets to mambo beach which we went to almost everyday. Now the not so great things:* The rooms, at least those in the blue building, desperately need an update. The sofa was full of stains, the shelf has strips of veneers coming off at the bottom, the mattress squeaks with every little movement, the kitchen pans are all scratched (why would they only provide metal spatulas???).* The hotel has reduced service compared to others. For example they only do a light cleaning every other day, and a deep cleaning every 4th day. The front desk only opens from 7am to 7pm. During our stay we had a couple of situations where we had to cut our day short to make it back to the hotel by 7pm to catch the front desk.* While most of the staff members are friendly and tried to be helpful, we had very unpleasant interactions with one of the front desk staff. (I am not sure whether he is perhaps even the owner of the hotel as he refers to the property as "my hotel".)When we checked into our room, my husband immediately noted that it smelled like smoke. I thought the smell was faint and probably not a big problem, so we stayed in the assigned room. However after the first night's sleep, our 11-month old had a baby asthma flare up and we had to take him to the emergency room in the Curacao Medical Center in the morning. While my husband was with the baby in the ER, I went to the front desk, recounted the events and asked whether it would be possible to change a room. The man at the front desk just stared back at me in blankness. He then said he would come check out our room with me. As soon as we entered I could smell the faint smoke again, but the guy just looked around for a few seconds and told me in an absolute tone that he smelled nothing. I was shocked by the attitude. Then we returned to the front desk and he told me coldly that all rooms are booked and when I persisted to ask if there is anything that can be done he literally shovelled his computer screen towards my direction and said "you can see for yourself, there is no available room in my hotel".We have traveled around the world and I had not encountered this level of arrogance in hotel staff. I understand that changing rooms is not always possible, but the man did not even try to help me in any way. He could have offered to deep clean the apartment or change out all the bedding instead. He literally just ignored my request, wrote off all my concerns mockingly, and didn't try to help. There was zero empathy for our situation, not even "I'm sorry that your baby is unwell" or "is there anything we can do to help get medical care on the island". He simply didn't care. I felt deeply disrespected.Unfortunately our baby had to go to ER again a few days later as the breathing issue persisted. I was so nervous every evening we had to put him to sleep in our room. I came across the staff several times in the hotel during our stay and he didn't bother talking to me or asking how the baby was doing. On our last night my husband and i came across the guy again with another staff at the front desk. We told the other staff that our baby had to go to the ER twice and couldn't go swimming the whole time, and she was immediately trying to help. But the guy insisted that because *he* couldn't smell anything in our room, it was not his job to help in any way. This is possibly the worst experience I have had with a hotel staff. The willingness to help travelers in need should be the first criteria for anyone in this job position. It's a pity that our impressions of the hotel had to be clouded by incidents like this.
My stay here was wonderful for 5 nights. I visited Curacao for the first time ever for my birthday and chose this property. It was very welcoming. Very relaxing. I loved everything about this property. The location was amazing, the staff were polite and attentive to our needs, the room was very clean, had a nice view (Top Floor Deluxe Room) and I want to thank this property for the awesome hospitality. Only breakfast and lunch is served at this property but the food is very good. Dinner options are all around on the beach strip with different restaurants so food is not a worry! Aquarium nearby and also an excursion spot if you want to book tours/activities to do within the country. Only real minor issue was hot water not being available in the early morning but other than that BOOK THIS PLACE! You will not regret :) Thank you again Dolphin Suites.
