Located on the most beautiful square in Curacao, the Wilhelminaplein.
Eetcafé De Buren ligt midden in de historische wijk van Willemstad, Punda. Punda is de oude en betoverende binnenstad van Curacao en wordt gekenmerkt door haar kleine straatjes en steegjes vol kleur en leven. De naam Punda stamt af van het Nederlandse woord “de Punt”, wat in het Papiaments vertaald werd als Punta en later verbasterde tot Punda. In de zeventiende eeuw fungeerde de wijk als de vrijhaven van Willemstad. In 1635 werd een fort gebouwd om de haveningang van Punda te beschermen: Fort Amsterdam. De haven ligt gelegen aan de oostelijke kant van de Sint Annabaai, waar u nu de befaamde achttiende eeuwse gekleurde pakhuizen aan de handelskade kunt vinden. Een deel van deze wijk staat sinds 1997 op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Vandaag de dag kunt u heerlijk winkelen in de pittoreske sfeer van Punda. Strijkt u eens neer na het bekijken van de reusachtige schepen in de Sint Annabaai of na het vele winkelen voor een wijntje of een biertje en maak een keuze uit de uitgebreide snackkaart. Daarnaast kunt u bij ons terecht voor een kop koffie met iets lekkers, een stevig ontbijt, een lekkere lunch en een goed diner. Ook biedt de Buren gratis Internet op het terras. Dus welkom bij De Buren, want een goede Buur is beter dan een verre vriend, nietwaar?

De Buren Curaçao was a nice place to eat.
We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking in the town. There were people already seated outside so we thought to give them a try.

We were not disappointed. The food was great, they are known for this fajitas. Ordered mixed meat fajitas. Our food came out sizzling/steaming hot! I would recommend giving this place a try.

Food was so average and bland . Got Fajitas n Vegetarian Pasta which were not good but just pasta in sauce . Fajitas were still ok .

Sumptuous Dining Experience at De Buren in Willemstad Curaçao ! Wide selection of food and drink menu and exceptional service to go along with it. Quite a hopping spot most all of the time and one definitely can feel the Curaçao vibe while delving into deliciousness here at De Buren ~ Highly recommended !

Situated next to a busy street at the 'Curaçao' sign in Punda. Presentation of the food gave the impression it would be very tasty. Unfortunately the appetizer was terrible. It was supposed to be a focaccia, but it was not and the taste was really bad. We had to send it back. The maincourse wasn't much better. For instance, the local white fish was terribly dry. Luckily, the staff - on their suggestion - removed the appetizer from the bill. Although the terrace is nicely decorated, the traffic was distracting (smell, sound and headlights).

A normal place with some food. Recommend mostly pizza as burgers didn’t look good.
Service is really slow, but isn’t it like that on the whole island?
Normal prices, but waiting to pay for 15-20 minutes it’s just a bit tooo long.
Also unfortunately but smelled the toilet whole time when sitting outside. Not sure if the heat, some repairs or something but smelled like the chemicals from outside toilet booth.

We went Saturday night while it was quiet and fairly empty. Service was awful. The girls were rude working there and took too long to come back with anything.
We asked several times for water, napkins , plates, utensils ..everything! We ate appetizers with no plates or utensils which ended up getting food all over the table and floor.
Food took over an hour to arrive.
Waters took about 30 minutes.
I will say yes, food was good and delicious but common sense wasn't so common here for the necessities needed for dining. .
