Espetada House

Espetada House is a family business opened since 2009.

The restaurant has an international cuisine but they are specialized on “The Espetadas” this is meat grilled on a metal skewer. This is a typical Madeiran dish, which is where the owner are origanilly from.

Our grill master has previous experience as a butcher and since young learned how to cook the Espetada since he is from Madeira.The restaurant began with no more than a cover of 75 seats with the idea of a having a small restaurant that delivers Portuguese dishes to the local community and tourists. At first this was considered as a hobby for the owners but after the years went by this became their passion.

Pirate Adventure

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

Prices:

Only $89 per person

Only $43 per child ages 4-12

Children up to and including 3 years old travel for free

The beef skewer (hanging beef) was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The cooked vegetables were seasoned and cooked perfectly, except the carrots were a bit undercooked.

The ambience was delightful. The beer was cold. The wait staff efficient and friendly. Overall, a delightful place.

While the service was ok at best, I was not impressed by the food.
I ordered a picanha medium and what I got was well done even parts that were burnt.
I think for a restaurant that charges that much the cook should know the difference between medium and well done.

At other restaurants the waiting staff asks how is the food and checking if you have any questions or complaints.

We ordered some drinks; the barkeeper poured them and left them more than 5 min unattended on the bar before anyone brought to our table. Its a good thing we had a view of our drinks all the time.

The place to go when you want the best grilled meat, meat and again meat. Served on large skewers, quite impressive. And yes, they have grilled fish too. Must do!
