The location is very convenient, providing you with easy, walking distance to Willemstad. The hotel has it's own mini mart, pool (with a beach), restaurant car rental and travel agency on the compound. I must talk about how courteous and helpful the staff was. Check-in was easy and we were given guidance on how to get around; the general staff were friendly and always available to help if you had a question.I liked that the room was comfortable and spacious, just missing some mats...not sure if that's a cultural thing.I liked the overall "village" set up of the place...very cute and we felt safe.
myself and my crew stayed here for over 2months working in a nearby shipyard. i would like to convey my heartfelt and thanks to Ritz for the service provided. Especially the front desk Lady manager and the rest of the crew. She needs a Raise for her service provided. Not forgetting the crew at the restaurant too. thanks.
I recently spent one night at the Ritz Village Hotel in Curaçao, and unfortunately, it was not a comfortable stay.Upon entering my room, I noticed both AC units were running, and the remote control to adjust them was not working. This left me freezing in the middle of the night, and I had to turn them off using the main breakers in the distribution panel. Of course, shortly after I had to put them back on, as it was getting warm. The shower design was problematic as well. Water flowed under the glass door, which was too short and about 10cm narrower than the opening, causing a puddle to form in the middle of the room.Additionally, the room's cleanliness was subpar, with a bit dirty walls and an unclean shower area. The TV in the sleeping area was not working at all...On a positive note, the pool area and artificial beach were pleasant, offering a bit of relaxation amidst the discomfort. However, the food was both expensive and tasteless, adding to my overall disappointment.Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at the Ritz Village Hotel. For sure, there are better optiins for the same cost!
I stayed in the Hostel there and this area is definitely dated. I had my Hostel room for myself for the whole stay, and never saw anybody else in the hostel area, so cant recommend it to people looking to socialize with other travellers. The pool area is really beautiful tho. Cant say much about the Hotel area but it looks more modern than the hostel part
The place is good, it feels a little outdated though. Staff were nice, the room was clean, the AC worked and it had a small kitchen, perfect for making your own breakfast. There was free parking too. There is a bar that serves good pizza and cocktails in the back. Franklin was very nice!
The location is good but not great. We had the penthouse room. I really enjoyed the roll-up door to the patio. We had a view of the pool and a vacant lot, in which they should clean up. It's is unpleasant on the eyes. The room was small, and it was hard to obtain towels. They do not have wash clothes, so they use only dinghy hand towels. If you are from the US, bring your own wash clothes. We did have a washing machine, but no dryer. It was hot enough outside for me to hang my clothes on the patio on the 3rd floor to dry. They will not let you check in early, we arrived at 335p and could not check in until 400p. Housekeeping was banging at the door at 915a and 1045a. She also kept saying at 1115a it is pass 1100, you need to leave to checkout. I would stay somewhere else different beside this location
Wonderful place. Our room was clean and had washer/dryer in the room. The stay included a daily breakfast with a cook serving fresh eggs . The staff was very friendly. The two swimming pools were convenient on days we didn't go beach hopping. There was a kitchen in each unit so we were able to prepare our own food. There was also a balcony with a dining table so meals can be enjoyed outside. I loved it and will definitely be returning.
Great value for money!!! Location perhaps not the best, but hey - it’s Willemstad. You are very close to the main attractions. The hotel’s territory is perfect. There is guarded entrance. Always available parking spot in front of the rooms. Lovely pool and the tiny supermarket with amazing freshly baked “appelflap” every morning.Extra thanks to a great staff - very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day. We stayed in the modern part of the buildings - apartments have everything you need. We had hot showers every day - no issue there.Highly recommend! We will come back :)
