Grand Cafe De Heeren

One of my favorite restaurants on the island! The food is amazing , the staff is kind and the atmosphere is calm during the day to have business meetings and exiting at night for some cocktails with the girl or a date night.

Pasta night on Tuesday is definitely my favorite day. I could not recommend this spot more.

My experience was the best. All the attendants were polite, always smiling and regardful. The food was excellent and the ambient had a beautiful decoration. The sea view is breathtaking.

Food was horrible, curry sauce had a slimy texture, couldn’t get it removed from bill only discounted. Terrible idea and no offer to replace it w something else.
Waitress was sweet and felt bad.
Will not return w a bad management attitude.
The manager told the waitress and never came to talk to us No class

Stumbled in accidentally off the beach... wasn't disappointed...

breathtaking, movie-like views while you eat, right in the sand, on the beach... under the shade...

Many restaurant properties and small hotels, line the long colorful street that stretches down this coast and includes this property...

I came the "back way," as the beach is public access, and allows for you to pass by several indoor/outdoor beachside places to pop in instead of coming in from the street...

They seated and served me, even though I was a beach wanderer and didn't come through the front door...

I freaked out however, when I sat down and realized the menu wasn't in English and was in fact, in Dutch... i was at a place called "De Heeren" (which Google said means "The Gentleman")

Luckily, they had also a menu in English...

I had a great tuna tataki, (maguro poke mixed with avocado, ikura, and other randoms), and a plate of delicious cubed pork belly... on a bed of sautéed watercress... (which wasn't even on their menu; i ordered a pork belly sandwich without the bread... yea, im one of those ppl... and i paid full price, even without the bread, and it was worth it...)

whoever improvised my protein-based request, knocked it out of the park with the breadless cubed and crispy revamp... the added radish and other ingredients were a bonus... (pictured)

maybe they'll add it as a new dish...?

ANIMAL LOVERS (or non lovers): two well kept, and friendly dogs own the beach... one girl, and one boy... the boy chases lizards on the sand, and the girl chases the boy... and they both joined me for lunch... (video)

Chill vibe, nice service, great (and very filling) breakfast.

Friend and I went here for lunch. It was a really nice spot. Sat out on the outside and was able to enjoy a cool breeze. The pumpkin soup was fantastic and the sandwich was unique and really good. Looking forward to my next trip back.
