This location offers privately owned units. Some face the ocean, some don't. Each are different and therefore, from what we could tell, have differing quality. The ocean view is amazing. If you get a unit facing the ocean, it will be wonderful.Electricity is expensive; you will be warned to use as little as possible. Sometimes there is a nice breeze and you can open the unit doors and enjoy it. Sometimes there is not and you may not be comfortable if you fear being charged for using too much AC and choose to leave it off and enjoy the weather. The pool and outdoor shower are nice. The beach is super convenient and very nice. Snorkeling there is terrific. Diving is popular.Parking is easy. The place is safe; they lock you in every evening. We were pleased with the on-site restaurant to the degree that the food was decent, the prices were fair, and the view is nice. One night a drum "band" randomly appeared to play for patrons and the sound was utterly deafening and not pleasant whatsoever. (We wanted to pay them to leave.) That was weird but we suspect it was a relative anomaly. There is a lovely stray gold kitty with big beautiful green eyes that will greet you. Be kind to her. She is wonderful. We fed her and looked after her a bit and gave her fresh water while we were there. She doesn't like to be touched (I think she has been abused) but she is very friendly and talkative. She likes soft cat food but won't eat it alone. The drive from town or other near-Willamsted tourist sites is long. If you have been swimming all day and are sun-exhausted, or come in late, it's quite brutal. Google will get you there correctly, but if there's an accident along the way (and there were on multiple occasions) it's no fun taking side roads. We were holding our eyes open more than once driving back after a day of activities. But for the beaches nearby, this location can't be beat. (We were going into town or across the island twice a day: in to recreate, home to shower, back in to eat because our unit 's fridge was down, so cooking was not really possible. That meant we were spending 3.5 - 4 hrs/day on the road. Ours became a driving vacation in the end.)The walls of the units are pretty thin; have a noise app downloaded and ready to go to sleep well and be courteous to others. (!)If you're a TV watcher, this isn't the place for you. We heard no TVs and our unit had none. We liked it but can see how some people would not handle this well. There is no laundry on site. We recommend microfiber beach towels because they pack small and you'll need to have room for clothes for every day you're there if you don't want to hunt down a laundromat or use the local laundress. There are many nice qualities of this complex and the units inside. If you don't mind the drive, and you get an ocean-facing unit, you will have an enjoyable stay.
