Nice resort, our family stayed here in Aug 2024. Nice rooms, but rather dark and plain. Rooms were clean and safe. Reception staff were friendly and we had no problems. Parking was available for free in the resort as we had a rental car. Restaurant food was average, the menu was largely pasta, pizza, and hamburgers. There is a main pool in the centre of the resort which is large and clean. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous Jan Thiel beach area. You get a free entry pass from staying at this resort, anyway entry fee is only like 3USD without the pass. You will need a rental car to get to this resort from the airport, or you will have to take a taxi which will likely be upwards of 40USD one way as the ride takes 20 to 30 minutes from the airport. This resort is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the centre of Willemstad, but the proximity to Jan Thiel beach is worth it because there arent any beaches like that in town. Also good to stay near Jan Thiel beach if you are thinking to go to Klien Curacao island because many of the catamarans to that island leave rom Jan Thiel beach
The rooms are very simple which we didn’t mind as we weren’t there most of the time. They do not have a hair dryer, iron board and the iron you have to go ask for it at the front as well as the rack. Breakfast was the same and was okay you just have to be careful with the birds! Location was good we would walk to the Jan Thiel beach which was a 5 min walk.
The resort Is big, with several houses, a swimming pool of 25m, restaurant and other services. The room where we stayed was quite small. The shower was not equipped with shampoo. They gave us a hairdryer with adhesive tape which didn't warm. We expected more from a 4 star resort!
Really unresponsive… wasn’t able to confirm my stay with them after calling and using their WhatsApp, I need the information to fill out my ED card for my travel. When I wanted to canceled within a 2 hour period cause this… they kept the entire payment as a cancellation fee. Suggest filter by the lowest reviews. Their customer service is automated.7/7- this proves my points even more… check your Expedia account. See the screenshot before. You can kept the full booking as a deposit/cancelation fee but you still can’t find my reservation over a week later - comical.
Food is ok, some things are better than others, the arrengement of food and drinks is quite surprising sometimes, but it's tasty and I'm happy with it.Beach nearby is the party one - I hate it. But as the localization of the hotel: it Harry matters. You really need a car one way or another to move around the Curaçao.I liked the people most, they were really nice.
Place wasn't very expensive but our drains smelled wretched like raw sewage. Running all the taps for about 20 minutes dumping soap down drains helped, but was still not completely relieved. The staff are so-so, if you're an American coming here (curacao) you need to be assertive or you're going not really have a good time, waiting on waitstaff, etc... just be assertive with your needs and it will be ok. There is a language barrier so be wary of that also, most people speak some English but not fluently. Best thing about Curaco is, the water.
Location is fantastic, couple of minutes away from the beach and supermarket/restaurants.As a pro, you can also park your car inside.Rooms are fine, but they come and clean them everyday.Big big cons are WiFi not working at all in the room and there are mosquitoes everywhere. Restaurant needs to be improved a bit as well.
