The oldest bar in Otrobanda, home of the world famous ‘rom berde’ (green rum), which is 100 % homegrown and only to be found in Curacao. Netto started producing the original and authentic Ròm Bèrdè when he was still a young boy. Only few people haven’t heard of Ròm Bèrdè yet and its fame is increasing both locally (Curacao) and abroad. People of all ages agree that Ròm Bèrdè of Netto Bar is a delicacy.

Pirate Adventure

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

If you’re looking for a historical, traditional place to visit in Willemstad, this is the place to go. As the oldest bar in town, it boasts all of the history you could ever want. The bartender we had when we went right at opening was the original owner’s grandson and he gave us a little taste of history with some fun stories about how it came to be. If you come here and don’t taste the famous green rum, you’re missing out. Granted, although I wouldn’t drink more than one shot (because of personal tastes), it’s just a ton of nostalgia in one sip. Could not recommend a visit to this place more!

A must stop as a tourist. Historic bar in the area and they make their own really interesting green rum, was delicious in cocktails. Bought a 1/2 bottle to take home for $16 USD

Legendary island stop for the green rum, but the true flavor of this place is the locals. This small little "dive" bar is filled with lively conversation and music from all over the Caribbean and the main land. Try the rum, but stay for the people both local and foreign.

Wow! 70 years in the same location. Green rum! This is the real original drink of curacao. How can this place not be on the list of must-see locations in Curacao? Sonny is very knowledgeable and is a great bartender. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

The oldest and most legendary bar in Curaçao! Their frosty green rum drinks are incredible!! It's the only place in the world where you can find this kind of rum. The bartenders are very friendly and welcoming! They hustled about and made sure everyone at the bar was being given prompt attention. Drink prices are reasonable. Cash is preferred. However, they do take credit cards reluctantly. I loved seeing the mix of locals and tourists drinking and dancing together to Michael Jackson songs!! I definitely recommend stopping in for drinks at the bar. They have a seating area as well. The bar is small but fits a lot of people comfortably. It's a really cool spot to chill and experience island life!!

After visiting the usual popular beachfront bars in Curaçao I was determined to find a more authentic locals establishment and this place did not disappoint. A little off the beaten track but only a five minute walk from the main square but definitely worth it . Not too busy on our visit but great service plus lowest prices and a nice music mix playing. My only regret was not arriving earlier and being able to spend more time as I really liked the vibe of the place.
