Beautiful location, lots of fun areas to enjoy from cozy seating, hammocks, beach and pool! One pool I referred to as the party pool was fun for entertainment but a bit too crazy sometimes! But you could escape to a quiet pool and the secret pool! Food was awesome, with many options to choose from. The people who we met there were great! Very friendly.Views were stunning. I would say be careful of the sun! Being closer to the equator you can burn so quickly! We saw some very red people! 🫣The gym was well equipped and clean too. 10/10
My husband and I went to Sandals for our one year anniversary and here are our thoughts!Airport arrival: The Sandals desk at the airport was large and they were very welcoming! The transportation to the resort was spacious and well-air-conditioned.Check-In: The Club Sandals check-in was seamless. We were welcomed into the Club Sandals lounge and they called our names individually. We had someone privately walk us to our room, show us the resort and where things were in the room.Room: Although we didn’t get our first-choice room, our assigned one had a better location, in our opinion (closer to restaurants and pool instead of the beach). Sandals also compensated us for the unexpected room change.Pools & Beach: The pool was fantastic! We enjoyed that there wasn't an open or close time for the pool so we would often go down and night swim in the lit up pool. The beach was smaller than expected; if you’re looking for a large beach, you might be disappointed.Service: Generally good, but poolside service was limited to butler suite guests. Other guests had to go to the swim-up bar, which had only 1-2 bartenders so it would take awhile to get a drink. People were very friendly and always willing to help.Food: Above-average resort food. The variety of restaurants was great, and most didn’t require reservations, except for two (which we missed due to dress code, men make sure to bring LONG pants!). We appreciated the option of sit-down breakfast restaurants instead of just a buffet. Room service wasn’t very good, so we used it only a couple of times.Excursions: We had an amazing excursion, which included swimming with sea turtles, exploring caves, and wild flamingo sightings. Our tour guide was fantastic and informative. We also went golfing on the course right next to the resort (walking distance). It was $145, which included club rental, a cart and rider—a great value for an ocean-side course. We regret not booking the shopping excursion with the resort ($50 pp) since taxi costs were much higher ($100-200).Atmosphere: The resort was very laid-back and catered more to an older crowd. If you’re looking for nightlife or lively entertainment, this may not be the place for you. However, the relaxed vibe suited us perfectly!Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it for those seeking a low-key, relaxing getaway!
Late review. But I booked a Club Level Ocean View room and there was no view of the ocean from my room. They did move my room, but still you have to look through the trees. But the issue I had was with the concierge service. I called to find out the procedures for laundry service. I was told to put the items in the bag with the slip and housekeeping will pick them out. The slip says in by 9am back by 6pm. I did as told. I came back to my room at about 2pm, housekeeping hadn’t come they came around 3. I’m thinking no worries, I’ll get my laundry the next day. The next day I see it is back and I pull them out and they hadn’t been cleaned. I call the Club concierge and was told my items weren’t received by 9am, and the Laundry service is closed on Sundays so oh well. I said I followed the procedure I was told, nothing or no one said that was the case and housekeeping didn’t come until 3pm. He said well housekeeping has until 5pm to clean so it’s not their fault and again oh well. I literally had to wash clothes in the sink to travel home in. And let’s not talk about the wait times at the restaurants to receive your orders, no property map so you have no idea where anything is. I’ll never go to another Sandals.
Experience was an awesome staff was very helpful with anything we needed. The Butler’s were great they did a good job as well as the waitress and hostess at each of the restaurants. The room was cleaned twice a day no issues with the room always cleaned with fresh towels and linen. The grounds was nice and clean.I would definitely recommend anybody to go and enjoy. Thanks for the great customer service.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon, the workers were the funnest, kindest, most talented people we’ve met!! Our trip was full of adventure, love, relaxation and fun!!! Honestly I would recommend this trip to anybody! The most beautiful resort, experience and people! Plus we felt so safe!!! The workers made us feel like family and they made us feel like we were in our home away from home seriously!! It was so hard to leave…
We went here recently for our honeymoon! Had a great time and the view and room were great. Only thing was we never got to eat at the steak dinner restaurant due to no available reservations during the 4 nights we were there which was disappointing. Staff was nice, wish they would have had better pool side service - having a butler definitely seems like the way to go for this. Location wise it’s about 50 minutes from the airport and they provide a shuttle to and from. Getting into town can be expensive if you try to do it on your own versus scheduling an excursion.
We have stayed at other Sandals, and will absolutely make Sandals our GoTo place for vacations. Curacao is another great Sandals property. Beautiful grounds, amazing pools, and very well appointed rooms. The beach is a little to be desired and would be the only knock of this property.(and that is only a little knock). It didn't seem as though they always had enough people working at times but you're on vacation and it's island time, so it's not too much of an issue.I do want to give a HUGE kudos to Dan, the General Manager. He was very visible and made an effort to chat with as many guests as he could. He was very interested in what they could do to make your stay Amazing! He helped my wife and I out when we had a small issue in the Dive shop. He was there, looked at what he could do the make Our Experience perfect, and did just that. It was just another reason we choose Sandals again and again.Thank You Sandals....see you in St Lucian in 2025!
Sandals Curaçao delivered 5 stars in every aspect. The service was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful, location was beautiful, they went the extra mile with every request, and I saw the general manager on the grounds present every day that I was there. Great leadership and great customer focus. I highly recommend going to Sandals Curaçao and staying in the building by Strand restaurant. We were in building 3.
We always enjoy Sandals. This one was a little low key than we wanted but we still had a great time. Breezy, Danni Lee, and the main DJ (maestro or host) for the shows were terrific! They made the experience worth it. The grounds are beautiful. There could've been more choices for food, and maybe late night options for entertainment and something other than pizza. They also need a map, it's hard to know where everything is and what restaurants close at certain time or days. It throws your plans off when you think you are going somewhere and find out when you get there it is closed. There needs to be more music playing during the day at the main pools. But overall it was a nice location. We were able to catch a taxi and go into the city which was really nice. Normally we just stay at the resort or do an excursion but we enjoyed going into town and exploring the local shops.
The most unique Sandals we have visited. The restaurants, menu's, preparation, presentation and service were the best.We spent 8 days at the pool, relaxing - never crowded or too rowdy. The coffee shop and bakery - available very early and late was a daily double 'treat'.And, it's a desert island. Did I mention it's Dutch, and very safe and clean.
