Curacao visual artist Yubi Kirindongo (a local artist since 1978) built his colorful and eclectic residence by himself in the eighties of the previous century. It is located on top of a hill with a beautiful view of its surroundings. The gallery and sculpture garden offer an amazing collection of artworks by this renowned artist. Opening hours: 10-12 AM and 2-5 PM Admission: Adults NAf12,50, children (0-12 yr) NAf7,50.

You are probably seeing his art all over the island and just don't know it! Definitely go take the time to visit his home that he has made into a museum and sculpture garden. I got there one afternoon during the pandemic when seemingly no one was around. Yubi was out in his workshop. He took 2 hours to personally show me every piece and tell me many many stories about his history and their origin. Those stories were just as amazing as the art and the purpose behind it. Quick tip... it is smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood and the Google directions had me overshoot it so just be on the lookout for the distinctive hubcap display out front. Also... an alligator lives there.... fortunately I didn't see her lol.
