Not a Luxury Experience – Overpriced and DisappointingDon’t let this hotel ruin your Curaçao trip. The property advertises itself as a luxury resort, but it fails to live up to that promise in almost every aspect. For the price they charge (around $500 per night per two ppl), you would expect a high-end experience, but the reality is far from it. This hotel should realistically be priced between $200-$300 at most. Here’s why:The Good:- The spacious nice rooms are comfortable, and the bed is great.- The bartender was the highlight of our stay, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. The Bad:- False Luxury Advertising: Despite marketing itself as a luxury resort, this hotel is anything but. The overall experience, service, and amenities are nowhere near the standard you’d expect at this price point. It feels more like a mid-range hotel trying to charge luxury prices.- Limited Dining Options: Only one restaurant is open at any given time, with a very limited and unimpressive menu. The food quality is disappointing and does not match the hotel's advertised luxury status.- Closed Beach Access: The private beach is under renovation and closed to guests—a major disappointment that was not communicated to us prior to arrival. Instead, you’re directed to use Dreams Beach, where you could stay for significantly less. For a place that markets itself on beach access, this is unacceptable and misleading.- Adults-Only Misrepresentation: Although advertised as an adults-only property, we encountered children swimming in the pool, further detracting from the supposedly upscale, serene atmosphere.Service Shortcomings:- Upon check-in, we had to carry our luggage ourselves, including down stairs—a basic service failure for a hotel claiming to be luxury.- Our breakfast, ordered the night before for 7:30 am, did not arrive. After calling to the front desk, we were left waiting over an hour with no resolution, forcing us to walk to the breakfast area ourselves.Dining Experience:- The service is disorganized, and the staff often seem uninterested and unwelcoming. You are left to seat yourself, with little acknowledgment from the staff, who often appear to have an attitude!- The food and beverages are of poor quality, comparable to an airport hotel cafeteria, far below the standards expected of a luxury resort. The coffee is particularly bad, and by the third day, I chose to skip breakfast entirely.Overall, this hotel does not deliver on its promises and is not worth the cost. If you’re expecting a true luxury experience, you will be disappointed. Save your money and choose a property that genuinely reflects the beauty and hospitality of Curaçao.
