Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

We stopped for a simple meal & a wine. The guy who was taking drinks & orders was busy and after some time we asked him if we could order our meals.
His reply & I quote was "Wait your turn!"
In his due time he returned and our two burgers were ordered. Not a great start.
After over an hour of waiting and watching others who arrived later being served their meals, I asked about our food. He replied that we weren’t next, again in that same arrogant tone.
We decided to cut our losses & cancelled our order. He initially demanded we pay for the food that never arrived. That was’nt going to happen so we paid for our drinks only and left as he loudly advised us not to come back. That will be my extreme pleasure I think I replied.
Not sure if just doesn’t like non Dutch speaking customers, but I’d avoid this horrible man & his pub like the plague

Very family vibe going on. Lots of regulars who clearly knew each other.

Only downside for me was that the table next to us was smoking a cigar but that wasn’t the owners fault.

The guy was extremely rude when we went in there, we had just asked if we could see a menu to take a look while he was going to get us our drinks , and he arrogantly said what do ya want, and also said if you're in a hurry you're in the wrong place. To be honest we weren't in a hurry at all we just wanted to look to see what kind of food they have there. So we left and didn't look back! We would not recommend this place to anybody!!! The guy charged us for 2 pops we didn't even get
To drink.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. After reading multiple reviews I knew I needed to check this place out. It doesn't seem that appealing from the outside, but the kitchen brings out wonders!!!! This was one of the best meals on the island. Great portions and price point. The lamb and pork was delicious!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and customer service!!!

Restaurant/café in Pietermaai district just outside the main street(s). Friendly Dutch staff and decent dishes (Dutch). Done with the crowd and tourist restaurants? Try this. If you're looking for some romantic spot, you might as well go somewhere else since it's next to the street and it's ambiance is not necesseraly romantic (but pleasant).

Despite not having dinner reservations, the staff was able to find us an outdoor table, even on a fairly busy night. They had a surprisingly extensive menu and, while the Dutch snacks looked good, we both decided to get the weekly special, because it was a full meal. It was entrecote steak with "stroganoff" sauce (which turned out to be an Indonesian-spiced onion sauce, not the mushroom-cream sauce we were expecting), very good fries and a side salad. The steak was a bit fatty and chewy but very flavorful, so it was quite a pleasant meal (and only US$30 for both of us).
