Mundo Bizarro is a weird and wonderful eatery and café, At the corner of the newly renovated colonial quarter pietermaai.Spread out over two floors you will find a sexy latino bar, decorated in colorful mosaics where friendly bar staff mix the most fantastic cocktails from caipirinhas, mojitos to bartender cocktail surprises! This is the place where you’ll meet new friends over espresso or mojito’s with foot-tapping funky latino tunes all around. Both floors offer soul kitchen snacks and dishes.

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

Food, service and atmosphere were good. There is live music from Thursday to Saturday nights. Very popular with locals and visitors. Interesting place to visit and short walk to the city. Definitely recommend

Very cool place but the service was very slow. Considering we were there for happy hour (1730), and hardly anyone else was in the restaurant, we expected much quicker service. We arrived at 1730 and didn’t get our first drink until 1815. There did not appear to be much urgency on the part of the waiters/waitresses.

We had a good meal here. We ate two fish dishes. One was the "Baked Salmon nafl. 43.50 with Skin Topped with Spicy Cajun Lobster Sauce, Served with Fried Funchi (Cornmeal) and Fresh Vegetables".
The other was the " Fresh Local Tuna Steak
nafl. 43.50. Served with Fresh Vegetables, Risotto and Antiboise" [a sauce of tomato, basil and capers].
The service was good.

Northland Gypsy

On Thursday evenings starting at 8:30 PM there's a fun Latin band. Small dance floor gets full of people for great energy. My accomodations were conveniently close to the establishment.

If it was somehow possible for me to live at this place, I would. One of the coolest bar/restaurant I've ever been to. Service was great, food was incredible, drinks were incredible, the vibe is unmatched, and the music brings it all together. 10 out of 5. Highly recommend to go there when in Curaçao! We went 3 nights in a row!

Our experience at Mundo Bizarro during the BlueSeas festival was rather disappointing. Despite the vibrant atmosphere, we were surprised to find they weren't selling beer inside, and the prices outside were steep, even by Petermaai standards, making it the priciest option in the area. While the ambiance was noteworthy, Mundo Bizarro wouldn't be my top choice for a visit in the neighborhood.

The place is indeed decorated greatly. But I was offered a table only after answering yes to a question if I wanted a dinner in a mostly empty place on a Tuesday at 7 pm.
And based on the quality of a supposedly the greatest mojito on the island I had to pass on the meal.
The cocktail was warm. Really? You can't mix it with ice properly before serving? After I mixed it myself and waited for it to cool down it wasn't bad, but I had better in Cuba.
Otherwise it looked like a great place, such a pity.

The funkiest place in Curacao! Old building with amazing decor, very cool old furniture. I can't vouch for any food but the drinks are fantastic! Very good Dark and Stormy, Long Island ice tea, the ever popular coffee and Bailey's. Oh and a Mango and Bacardi smoothy. Pier was our bartender who made my morning! Thank you!

What an excellent and exciting place we went. Very good to have some beers, drinks and dance. The day we went, was pure Latin live music, it couldn’t be better. It is nice to go and have some fun until night.
