My husband and I went to Shelterrock for lunch one afternoon after snorkeling at the beach. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I was very skeptical at first as the restaurant is located behind the house. So as you drive up, go in little deeper and you'll find the entrance of the restaurant. The view is breathtaking. The owners of the restaurant was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and absolutely the best part of our trip. My husband and I shared the Curacao special platter and it was plenty. Would definitely go back the next time we're there.

This place / area just felt odd driving up to. We weren’t sure if it was closed or have been abandoned by the looks of things. We made it in and ordered the goat and chicken stews which were delicious, albeit a good wait for it even on a slow late afternoon Tuesday.

Great time on Friday coconut night. It felt like we were eating at someone’s home, and the food was very good. A unique experience that you should try. Get there early as the sunset is beautiful from this location.

We didn't get to experience the Friday night vibe, but our family of 10 had the best time here. The restaurant is open air with a cute atmosphere, the food was great, and the family that owns and operates the restaurant is wonderful. Our kids had a great time playing with the super funny granddaughter while we spent time talking with the uncle and grandmother.

If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by. Food is good, views are beautiful, and the people are the best.

This is a must!! We had reservations with a group of 14, had the best service, the best food and the BEST entertainment on our last night in Curaçao! Such a neat experience! This little girl stole my heart just as we were leaving, keep being you baby girl 💕💕💕 I will be back to visit again!

We had an okay experience here.
198naf for two coconuts and 3 drinks - very expensive for what it was.
Went for the coconut cooked meat and buffet.
The restaurant is open air in a beautiful location with sunset views that are amazing (go out back by the toilets!)
The service is terrible - sorry to say - the staff confused and don’t know where drinks are to go. It took 1.5hrs to be served dinner.
The food was - just okay. Nothing spectacular in our opinion. We’ve had much better meals here in curaçao for this price!
Overall - you have to decide if the experience is what you’re looking for - as the value for the meal and service was not there.

Can’t beat the view of Mt Christoffel and serene surroundings. The food is very tasty and service was friendly. Vegetarian friendly. Prices are like everywhere else, but the servings are huge (American style). Cocktails were decent especially if you like them sweet. If you can make it up to this area, add it to a beach visit or after a visit to the National Park. It’s off the beaten path but worth it.

One of the most beautiful settings for a restaurant! Highly recommend getting there at least an hour before sunset. The staff, food & cocktails were all on point.
