The Diveshop Curacao

A guest is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him.
The Diveshop is a small dive center set up by Francis Hooijen and Jeroen Blokzeijl. Together we agreed that diving is more than participating in a PADI course or just loading up boats with guests who all have a number instead of a name.

The Diveshop Curacao Activities

Pirate Adventure

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Departure point: Santa Martha Bay, Soto, Curacao

Route: Santa Martha, Blue Room, Playa Piskadó (turtles), and return with a beach/snorkel stop.

Prices:

Only $89 per person

Only $43 per child ages 4-12

Children up to and including 3 years old travel for free

All-inclusive morning/afternoon with:

I completed the PADI lionfish specialty with them. They were thorough with the course. Had two lionfish dives with them and was able to get several.

After this course, I jumped on a chance to do a wreck dive, MV Superior Producer, with them. It was a great experience. I look forward to diving with them again.

My wife and I completed the ‘Open Water Certification’ with Kellianne, and Stefan. Both were excellent instructors, and very competent. They took as much time as we needed, and made us feel comfortable at depth. The whole experience was a lot of fun, and we would definitely book with them again.

Completed Padi Open water certification here while on vacation and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I received a one-on-one training with Iris and she was absolutely amazing! Very thorough in following Padi guidelines ensuring every step was covered in its entirety, and still very patient with me on some of the skills I found a bit challenging at first (full mask purge for example!). She went above and beyond to make the experience as positive and enjoyable as possible. I truly can’t speak highly enough about Iris and the entire experience. I went into this course a bit apprehensive about my under water abilities, but she reassured me every step of the way and her adherence to the guidelines made me feel confident in my skills at the conclusion of the course. Picked up on time at the cruise ship terminal. Short ride to the Dive Shop tucked into a quaint beach with amenities. Young dive professionals at the shop made the experience safe, relaxed and very enjoyable. Cost was very reasonable. I explained that I was an infrequent diver and my Diving Guide, Stephan, provided an excellent refresher with suggestions and instructions along the way. The only thing that I would do differently is to take a boat dive instead of a shore dive. I'm 72 years old and my time carrying equipment any distance has passed. That being said, when I discussed this with Stefan, he took over the task of transporting the tank/bc/regulator back and forth.
Definitely a great time and a 5* dive shop.

My 11 year old daughter did her certification course with The Dive Shop and had a tremendous experience! The instructor (Thor) was friendly and engaging, helping make the course accessible and fun even when my daughter felt a bit nervous. He and the other instructors are also deeply knowledgeable about diving and ways to teach it effectively and safely. She is now a certified diver and we just did our first dive together! Great group of people that are very attentive, informed, and very safe group of divers! We saw several turtles, manta, eels, and most saw a tarpon. Will definitely use them as our base/home dive shop on our return.
