I had a great time at this resort. I stayed there August of 2024 with a party of 5 people. The Staff are all friendly, happy, helpful, and quick on their feet. The food was good at the buffet and at the restaurants. Lots of choices of food, drink, and snacks. No long wait to get food at the buffet or drinks at the bars. The water in the beach was very pleasant. I wished we had the option of the not so deep pool on the adult side for people who can't swim or afraid of deep water. I also think that if the hotel includes an indoor cooling lounge on hot days, that would be great. Entertainment needs improvements. I will definitely return to this resort again in the future.
Tiffany at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She made sure we were taken care of from the time we arrived on property. Her warm smile was inviting and we knew we would be in great hands during our stay. Yasin, Semih were good bartenders. We visited the bar on several occasions and each time the service was nice. Thank you for making this visit memorable.
Our stay was amazing. The Rif was beautiful! All of the workers were very kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Omer and Emre were a wonderful bartender, made the BEST drinks. I enjoyed meeting new people. The food was delicious, so many options. The view was outstanding!!!! Literally breathtaking!!! I would recommend this resort to anyone and everyone and canā€™t wait to come back!!!
Ray, Muhammad, and Abduhl at the bar have been absolutely phenomenal and kind. All of the staff has made us feel very happy, comfortable, and safe, and itā€™s very clear that the employees care about the guests and making sure that everybody has a wonderful vacation! Would absolutely return just for the staff, but the amenities are the icing on the cake as the drinks, pool, and rooms are incredible.
The resort is amazing. Very calm, very pleasant. The food options and quality are very good.Overall great experiencesThe staff is amazing and helpful.Semih at the pool bar was by far the best! His drinks and service were impeccable.I will definitely be back and will recommend to my friends.
Top floor of Rif is still under construction so from Monday till Saturday you will wake up at 7.30 AM latest with the sound of a drill machine and will hear construction sounds till 4.30PM.When you get to sleep till 7.30 AM consider yourself lucky because I you are unlucky like me and are placed closed to the elevator then the cleaning staf will wake you up at 7 AM latest. Not to clean your room but because they have to talk with each other as loudly as possible to discuss the day and they do this in the hallway of course. They are awake so why should anyone else get to sleep right. Also I donā€™t think it would be considered talking in the rest of the world but shouting. they are so loud all the time. Also I had even more luck staying here at the end of July 2024 as there is some kind of championship ongoing so in the hotel we have multiple teams of young men who are extremely loud during the day.As soon as they get up at 6.30AM they will go on the hallway to do videoconference or just to talk (screaming) with each other and it will be a competition who can laugh the loudest. At the swimming pool they will be so loud that you will wish that drill machine drills your head. The reception at the Rif is most of the times clueless or canā€™t do anything. For example, the team in the morning will tell you one thing and then the team in the afternoon will say itā€™s not true. Also they will say they activated the gym on your card and when you go to the gym the door doesnā€™t open. When you go back they will say it canā€™t work because it are different systems. There is no animation. No lifeguards. Not even music. For everything you need to go to the hotel next door (Mangrove). The cocktails are good if make by a good bartender but there is no consistency so even if you drink the same cocktail all day it will taste different at each bar and each person making them. In the main restaurant there is always something missing (no plates, no cutlery, no cups, no coffee).Maybe in 3 to 5 years from now this will be a great hotel but atm itā€™s not there yet.Update 1 August 2024: On top of all this since 3 nights the fire alarm keeps going in the night. Starts at around 4:30 AM and goes off till 8 AM wilt about 15 minute breaks between them. They really donā€™t want you to sleep in this hotel
Me and my wife stayed here for 6 nights. Checking in was swift and easy Quinton got us squared away and explained all the amenities about the two properties. They gave us a welcome drink and also had a bottle of wine and snacks with a welcome letter as we arrived to our room. We had the swim up adult only room which was very nice having a pool right outside our door. We did end up having to switch rooms the second day due to the power not working properly in our room. The staff and housekeeping worked swiftly to get us into our new room which only happened to be a few doors down from our original room. Yannick was very helpful during our entire stay with excellent hospitality and service. The Rif hotel is connected to the Mangrove Corendon and since we stayed at the Rif guest have access to all Restaurant on site and amenities at COREDON as well. There are a total of 9 restaurants between the two properties and a cigar lounge where you can get premium alcohol, it is not included with the all-inclusive. Most restaurants open at certain times but the a la carte Restaurant is always open. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of selections. We didnā€™t eat lunch there much but ate dinner there one time. The Italian Restaurant and the pool side buffet were good. The Harbor was my least favorite due to the lack of service. The wait time to get served was longer than usual and guest were visibly upset about it. Muhammet and a young lady had the best service. Especially Muhammet he was cleaning tables seating people, taking and delivering orders and drinks alone and did an exceptional job. We ate at the Harbor multiple times and the service was slow every time most of the servers were nice except for one whose name I won't mention. He had a horrible attitude and confronted and accused my wife of making complaints about him to his manager. That was very unprofessional and to top it off my wife nor did I ever spoke to his manager about his service. We even told him during his rant that we didnā€™t speak to anyone. He continued to say how mad the he was and that the staff was upset. We repeated that we didnā€™t speak to anyone three times before he realized it wasnā€™t us and he said sorry and walked off. My wife was upset and didnā€™t want to eat there anymore( I didnā€™t blame her). And then we actually went to speak to a manger about what took place. The manger (Tei-Rock)we spoke to apologized and promised to take care of the situation. Other than that incident and the lack of service some days the harbor is a great choice. The best restaurant on site is the Barbecue(Cor & Don) one. It fills up pretty fast for reservations so make them early. The Bars were good and drinks were good as well. There are a total of 4/5 bars between both properties. The beach bar at the Rif is open 24/7 which was nice. The hotel is located right outside the city attractions its about a 15 min walk and 5 min drive. I loved how they provided many shows throughout the week for us to attend that gave the Curacao experience and showed their culture. Warning, wear a lot of sunscreen and insect repellent, the heat and mosquitos are crazy! I will still give this place 5 Stars. The only reason I didn't rate the service 5 stars is because of the incident with the waiter at the Harbor. Great job to these additional staff members for excellent service, Julia, Ariana, Tei-Keith and Tei-Rock, Muhammet, The fella at the cigar lounge ( I can't remember his name)! There are a lot of beautiful polite people at this location, much appreciated!
Terrific week with family of 7! Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived with Merve and team at the front desk warmly welcoming us and getting us settled in our rooms. She also followed up throughout our stay, ensuring everything went smooth so we could fully enjoy our time without worry. We stayed on the Rif side, which provided access to the more laid back/quiet pool and additional dinning options. Semih, Ebu and the other bar tenders were friendly and adept at whipping up specialty drinks; premium spirits are available upon request. Harbor, Maya and the sushi restaurants were our favorites, but the buffet provides a lot of delicious options too. Our favorite waiter was Mert at Harbor, heā€™s a true hospitality professional, going above and beyond to take care of us!The resort was amazing and the ability to travel the island and appreciate all it has to offer made the trip truly remarkable!
I just stayed at The Rif for a week and it was truly one of the best all inclusive resort experiences I have had (and Iā€™ve been to many all inclusive resorts).Rooms - the room was clean and very well maintained, everything worked as it should (except the phone extensions on the phone didnā€™t work). AC was great. However, the construction woke me up every day pretty much at 8am, making it hard to sleep in. I expected the construction though, just unfortunate that it woke me up.Pool - clean, tons of pool loungers. I liked that there wasnā€™t any entertainment. When I vacation, I like quiet.Food - the a la carte food was mediocre. I went to the buffet for the majority of my meals. Food at the buffet was very good and tons of variety.Staff: the staff were friendly, nice and helpful.Beach - the beach is rocky, so Iā€™d recommend bringing water shoes. If youā€™re into snorkelling, the snorkelling at the mangrove is wonderful. Beautiful fish and there were three sea turtles and a barracuda.Location: The city centre is about a 15 minute walk away, very convenient. Iā€™m a solo traveller and felt safe. Will definitely return to the Rif. Wonderful experience overall.
The room was wonderful but unfortunately on the second floor when my partner was wheelchair bound. The hotel was beautiful but the construction work still going on was sadly a nuisance. The service of the staff however was excellent. Special thanks to Zeynep who made our stay unforgettable. Your attention to detail and genuine interest in us and the other guests was more than could be expected. Thank you for the experience!Love, family van Doorn
