Een huisbezoek kost veel tijd maar het is tijd die we graag investeren in onze klanten. Ieder dier is voor ons even belangrijk en krijgt evenveel tijd en aandacht tijdens het consult. Vandaar dat onze consultprijs hetzelfde is ongeacht de diersoort. Sinds 2003 hebben we ook een praktijkgedeelte waar men op afspraak langs kan komen met de patiënt. Een voordeel daarvan is dat we zo ook urgente ziektegevallen kunnen helpen als die dag het huisbezoek schema al volgeboekt is. Indien nodig is het mogelijk patiënten op te nemen. Er zijn ruime kennels aanwezig, en voor de kleinere dieren tot 5 kilo hebben we ook een speciale intensive care unit. Voor papegaaien is het vaak noodzakelijk ze op te nemen omdat ze vaak te mager zijn. Sonde-dwangvoeding is dan nodig. Dat is iets wat het beste door een bekwame dierenarts of dierverzorger gedaan kan worden. Het is vaak in het belang van de vogels dat ze korte of langere tijd opgenomen zijn. Na hele zware operaties of operatie van “senior” patiënten houden we ze vaak nog een dag in opname na de operatie.
