I can’t control the wind but I can adjust the sail
Our company operates from the Marine Watersports Centre at Brakkeput Ariba 1 to the north-west side of the lagoon of Spanish Water. This inner lagoon is a beautiful, well protected and safe lake on the south-east coast of Curacao, with one outlet to the Caribbean sea. On the north side there are many bays and small mangrove islands and coral reefs. This is the habitat of pelicans, frigatbirds and many other species of birds. There is a lot of fish and regularly we spot turtles. There are impressive views of Table Mountain, Seru Boca and Kabrietenberg. To the west in the bays we find houses and villas of varied architecture. Also there is a pristine beach (Barbara Beach) with the shade of many palm trees. A floating dock makes it possible for you to dock your boat and enjoy the beach or one of the restaurants or bars. This is the location of one of the biggest hotels of Curacao. To the west we find a picturesque fisherman’s harbour.
